After a 9 hour shift, the last thing I want to do is come home to something that I have to fix. Of course, that's exactly what happened. Kevin and I were driving home and I was looking at the moon and I asked if it was a full moon because it was kinda shiny and blurry because my eyes were so tired. And Kevin says that's a street light then takes a little pause and says oh. We couldn't stop laughing.
So we get home, settle down a little bit and take a shower. I was wondering where the puppies were because they're only about five weeks old and they've been sleeping in his dad's room. We knew that they had been taking them outside a lot so they could get used to it. Well Kevin goes out there and calls me out there. The puppies have a blue rubbermaid box that they have been living in. It was turned over and there was throw up in it that had obviously been there since earlier in the afternoon. There were flies all over it. The puppies were all huddled in a corner, crying. The lights were off and there aren't any doors, just mirrors that they had put up to block the puppies in so they couldn't escape. There was piss and crap all over the concrete and it smelled like sewer.
I couldn't believe that someone would leave four puppies out there to defend for themselves. Anything could have gotten to them! Kevin and I took them inside and gave them what is probably their first bath. We put up some blockades in the living room so they could at lease have a safe place to run around but couldn't escape. What kind of person would do that? I mean, I know he can't take care of kids, that's obvious by the way he "raised" Kevin, but damn. It's puppies! They aren't even fast enough to run from anyone or anything! What the hell is their problem?!
