Snow!

The snow has finally arrived and I'm super excited! I was supposed to have work today but we're closed and I'm not complaining. Kevin decided to stay home too so we could have a family day. He's outside sledding in the snow. I'd like to take Brooklyn out but I don't want her getting sick especially since work and school are starting and I won't have time to really take care of her if she gets ill. She's been sleeping a lot lately and by that I mean we are up to getting 2-3 hours of sleep at a time. Sure beats the hour I was getting!

The dogs are snuggled up on the couch and Brooklyn is snuggled up against my leg...she has the hiccups. We're watching the Cosby show right now. We got the cable hooked up yesterday and the internet is coming sometime next week. I'm super excited! We get 200 channels! Who needs 200 channels?! At least something will always be on.

I made chocolate chip muffins this morning. They were pretty good. I did find out though that I can't set the oven to 475 or the smoke detector goes off....does anyone know why?! I sure don't! I didn't even burn the bottom of the muffins! They were a nice golden brown. So then I looked like an idiot jumping up and down, waving my oven mitt in front of the detector trying to get it to go off because Brooklyn was sleeping on the couch while I was cooking but amazingly she didn't wake up....she did smile and laugh though. It was so cute! It's her first laugh and only 16 days old!! Talk about a proud mommy. She almost rolled over the other day but I'm not sure if it was because she was doing it on her own or if she was trying to escape from being sniffed and having her feet licked by Wynnstan.

The snow is coming down now! I really hope it sticks and maybe even keeps coming tomorrow so I don't have to work again! We're supposed to get about 10 inches but I would like much more than that! I think I've seen 3 cars leave the neighborhood today as opposed to the 50 that usually come through here. I told Kevin I was pretty sure that the mail wasn't going to run today but he said that they come "rain, snow, or shine." I laughed. If they can't even get down the road, they can't come! I guess it's good I went grocery shopping yesterday! I was going to put it off until today. I went out to buy some pants for work yesterday because I don't have any that fit anymore. Well I saw the cutest jean jumper for Brooklyn and I had to have it! Cost me $13! Not horrible, but not great either. That's why I love Old Navy though. They always have the clearance rack. They had some really cute summer clothes but I didn't want to buy any of them since she really still doesn't fit into newborn clothes. I should have gotten her some tights to go with her outfit though. She really does need some.

I'm already thinking about dinner....and it's only noon! I think I'm going to make some Asian food tonight. Teriyaki chicken sounds good....with rice...and some asparagus? I wish I had some bell peppers to put in there. Oh well...
