Ok, finally going to get caught up. Easter was really good, we spend the day at Grandparents houses. We had a huge Easter Egg hunt at Austin's Mom house with all his relatives. The kids had a lot of fun, but it was really cold. So most the parents were helping the kids for they didn't have to stay outside for long.
Then we went to my parents house with a lot of my relatives for Easter dinner. My Mom always does an Easter dinner for everyone. And she gave the girls Easter baskets, with stuffed animals in them.
The day before Easter I took the girls to have their pictures taken with their Easter dresses. We got the pictures back on Friday, they turned out so cute.
We are home from the interviews, we stayed the longest in Spokane. I really liked it there, but it sure rained a lot when we were there. We looked at a lot of places to live and the prices of houses. We both liked Spokane, but we like Denver, too. But, if we go to Denver we did decide if we take the job in Denver, we are going to live in a town outside of Denver. Denver is really a big city, and the houses right in the city are more expensive then living in a town outside of the city.
Thursday, Austin goes on his job interview here. I would like to stay here, but Austin would like to take the job in Washington. We will weigh all 3 jobs and see which one is the very best for us.
We went and took the girls over to Matt's grandma's house for Easter in their Easter dresses, she was so happy to see them. Then Matt's parents asked if they could see them, so we took them over there on Saturday night. Matt's Mom said, Matt is going to be there, he would like to see Journey. I said, fine, and we took the girls over there. Matt talked a little bit to her, but not a lot. She wouldn't go over to him, or anything. I had Austin with me and she kept calling Austin daddy, I was waiting for Matt to say something, but he didn't. I'm hoping he sees what he is missing out on and does something about it. He did get her a small basket, and he said, to her it's from your dad. She wouldn't take it from him, so Matt's Mom gave it to her, and she took it over to Austin. I really didn't know how to respond to Journey about Matt. She isn't old enough to understand who he is, and I know she wouldn't understand at the age of 2 what it is all about. So when we got ready to leave, I said, say good bye to Grandma and Grandpa. Then I said, can you say good bye to Matt. If he stays in the picture with time as she gets older she will understand it. We will see how things go. He didn't say anything about wanting to see her again, so who knows.
So everything is going really good. Austin graduates in May, I can't wait for him being done with schooling. He has 3 other friends graduating at the sametime, so after the graduation we are going out on the town and have some fun. They are really nice men, and I get a long so well with their wives. We are going to take off for the Smokey Mountains with some friends for 5 days, for some time to sit back and relax and go hiking around. If we take one of the jobs out of state he doesn't have to start till July. So he will have a month or so off, to just have time to relax before starting his job. I don't know when he will have to start if he takes the job here. They will pay our way down there to move, and help us get into a place. We just have to pick out a place to live, if we take one of the jobs out of state.
The one good thing is if we do the job here, I can keep my job. I do enjoy my job and I hate the thoughts of having to quit it. I get along with everyone I work with, and I will miss them all.
Ok, I've turned this into a book. Time to end it. |
