I haven't updated forever! I've been busy raising my two girls and that keeps me really busy. I still work at the dentist office for Austin's dad. Work is pretty much the same, nothing there really chances much.
My dad's friend had a small house and gave me a good deal on it to rent it. It is 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, living room, and kitchen. But, it's nice being in my own house and not being with my parents. I moved in at the beginning of Dec, so I haven't been here very long, but I'm liking it. The girls like having their own rooms and gives them more room to play. Wasn't real easy for the girls sharing a room at my parents and being so cooped up and not much room to play.
Austin came in for Thanksgiving, we had a very good talk, but nothing has changed for us. He took the girls for Thanksgiving, so different not having them with me for Thanksgiving. But, I have them for Christmas, he is going to take them the 27th till the 1st, so they will have a nice visit with him. He got the house in Colorado, he says, he is very happy with the house, I'm very happy for him.
Matt's parents have been really good at making more time with Journey. Matt has came around a couple of times, but he still isn't good at coming over at regular times. He's only seen her twice, but I guess that is better than nothing. He only comes over for about an hour when he does come, and Journey calls him Matt. Not sure if she really understand yet that is her dad. To her Austin is her daddy and Austin is very good at always making her feel like she is his daughter.
The girls are doing really good. Taty is talking a mile a minute now, too. Now I have 2 chatterboxes that live with me, and boy do they keep me hopping. I love how they keep me going and how big they are getting. Journey is the little Mother to Taty all the time. At times Journey gets so bossy with her, I have to remind her at times I'm the Mommy....LOL She is Mommy's little helper, she has turned into such a big help for me, I can't believe she is almost 4. She's 4 going on to 20, she acts so grown up these days. They are both in daycare and they love it, they are learning so much. My Mom still watches them on Tues. and Thurs. for me.
Not doing any dating, decided I need time for just me and my girls for awhile. I have friends that want to set me up on blind dates, but I'm really not up for it. I think I need to take time out for some me time, and some time for my girls for the time being. I don't want to jump into anything right now, but who knows down the road. But, a while down the road. Just not ready for a boyfriend or steady anything. I really need time to do things on my own and now that I have a place of my own, time to enjoy it. I just want to enjoy it the three of us for awhile.
Austin has been really good at helping me get Christmas for the girls. I'm totally done with getting them what they wanted from Santa. It's all wrapped and put away. Austin is going to spend Christmas Eve with us. I told him that would be fine, I will just put the girls in bed with me that night and he can sleep in Journey's bedroom. I want him to see the girls wake up to what Santa brings them.
I'm going to stay home Christmas day, for the girls can play with their toys. My Mom and dad will be out to visit that day and so will Austin's parents. I told Matt's Grandma that we would be out on the 26th to visit her. And I will see Matt's parents at his Grandma's house, too. My Mom is having a family dinner on the 26th, so I will be there for dinner and I will get to see everyone at that time.
I'm really enjoying my life right now. Things are different, but they are good. Our tree is up and the house is decorated and it all looks really cute. I'm enjoying my cute little house! |
