Well, it took till Wednesday for me to get to feeling better. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to feel better. I even went to my doctor on Tuesday, and ran tests and said, it wasn't the h1n1, just the flu and it has to run it's course....ugh!
Austin came in at 10:00 that night. I was feeling better, but still way tired. I was so happy to see him. Got home and we spend sometime with the girls, they were sure happy to see him, I think Taty kind of forgot who he was. She wouldn't go to him at first, it broke my heart that he is missing out on so much of her time. Journey was so happy to see her daddy, it was so cute. The girls didn't go to bed till after midnight, way past their bedtimes.
Austin's Mom said, she would get up with the girls for we could sleep in, it was so nice to wake up to him the next morning. We woke up and just stayed in bed for a couple of hours spending some us time and cuddling.....ah so nice!
We got up and got dressed and headed to my Mom's for dinner, then back to Austin's family for some more dinner. I didn't eat much at either house, didn't want to get to full and be sick again. We had to be to my parents house by 2, stayed there till 4. Then came back here for their dinner at 4. So nice to go to both parents houses.
Friday we ran over to Matt's Grandma's house for she could see the girls. I didn't have time on Thanksgiving to run over. We didn't stay to long, we wanted to get out and do something as a family with the girls. We ran into Paducah and looked at all their Christmas shops and that night we saw the lights in the town come on. The girls sure liked it.
Saturday we went out and got our Christmas tree, I wanted Austin to able to help us put it up. We had a lot of fun. We did the tree and put out the stockings and just did all the decorations in the house. Then that night we went out Christmas shopping. We didn't do black Friday this year, didn't want to be on the go all the time when Austin is here, so we for went that.
We got Taty a new toy box for her room, a doll, and some learning toys. I still have alot to shop for, but got a lot done. We got Journey a doll, and a new table and chairs and a little kitchen set. I will get the rest on my own, they both need new coats, and I want to get Taty a snow outfit. Journey has a snow outfit, but she needs a new coat to go over it. And they both need new clothes, and I want to get Journey some computer learning games. We didn't have time to get everything.
Sunday we all went to the airport to see him off. It still pisses me off that we can't go to the gate to see them off anymore. He flew out at 4, so we got to the airport at 2 and just sat there till 3:30, then he headed off to his gate. It was so hard to say good-bye. He will be back on the 23rd, but he will be here till the 2nd, so more time with him next month.
He still won't see eye to eye with me on getting a smaller home. He can be so hard headed at times....ugh!
