Austin came in on Friday for Father's Day, to see his dad, and the girls can be with him. So after he got in he came and got the girls, so I've had the weekend to myself. Actually, I will be alone till Saturday. He came in for a week and wanted the girls for the time he is in. It was nice to be able to really clean the house really good, without the girls going behind me and messing it up.
I went through all their toys and got rid of anything that is broke and can't be fixed. Got everything put away where it goes. Went through their clothes, too, got rid of the clothes that Taty has out grown. Both their bedrooms look so pretty and clean now. It's so nice to look around and see a clean house. My house is always picked up and I thoroughly clean it on weekends, but it gets to stay way clean for a bit, rather than a day or two.
I went out to my parents and spent the day enjoying it with my dad. We went out to lunch and dinner since I was there all day long. It was such a nice visit. I did miss not having my girls with me, but I do understand it's Father's Day, and that's where they needed to be with their daddy!
Matt has come around a couple more times to see Journey, but nothing that was a long visit. I think the longest he has stayed is about an hour and a half. I was wondering if he was going to ask to see her for Father's Day, but he didn't say a word about it two weeks ago. I think the only reason he does come by is because of his parents. But, I can't say for sure that is the reason. He has never asked about taking her over night, and I won't bring it up to him. Right now I wouldn't let him anyway, she really doesn't know him. He hasn't come around enough for her to get to know him.
Both the girls are getting so big, and at times they can be a handful, but I love it! And both of them are chatterboxes, they are always talking, it's so cute!
For me, I'm just enjoying being a Mommy! I'm doing some dating but nothing steady with anyone. I'm still seeing Doug, but nothing serious, just being friends. And I've dated Dave a few more times, too. Both are nice guys, but just friends!
It's been so weird to be able to sleep in this last weekend, and how quiet my house has been. Taking the next 2 days off, just to enjoy being home. I've got to get some reading in, and I've got to watch TV, without cartoons. Been nice, but miss my girls so much, would rather them here and us watching cartoons.
