.1. Our Journey Working Out + PICS

05/08/2014

Our Journey

My Personal Diary

So, since I work for Pilot (gas station), we get a free membership to the YMCA for us and our families. So I have jumped on the deal. I have went yesterday and today to work out with my husband. We are starting out slow. We are working out 45 minutes to an hour. But, we are switching it up.

Me and my husband weighed ourselves today. My highest weight was 265, which was at the end of my pregnancy with my daughter. Since then (she's 5) I have SLOWLY lost weight. So when I weighed myself today, I was actually happy because this is the first time in a long time I have been under 200.

My current weight : 186

David's current weight : 224

This is my first time working out. This is my first time really wanting to push myself to do better. Which also means I have to quit smoking, I have to quit drinking cokes, and start eating healthier. This is going to be a slow journey. But I'm glad my husband is by my side to do it with me.

We are starting out slow. Doing the stair climber, the bicycle, and treadmill. We are going to add stuff as we start doing better. Today I burned almost 200 calories. May not seem like much, but it is to me. I was jogging on the treadmill for almost 20 minutes before I had to stop. My heart rate got up to 166 and just felt like I couldn't breathe anymore. I done .82 miles (almost a mile!) and I was so proud of myself. I done a mile exactly on the bicycle in 6 minutes. I stayed on the stair climber for 15 minutes and burned 92 calories on it alone.

We are going to back in the morning around 9 before we both have to be at work. So I will leave you with my before pics which were took today. Hopefully in about a month we will see some changes. (Excuse the mess lol)

I'm so happy for you! Your health is so important and it'll be great for the kids too!
That's great that your doing cardio, it'll help drop fat but don't be afraid to lift HEAVY weights! You'll burn more fat and have better results!

Your biggest changes will come from your diet. It's pretty common sense but a lot of people think they can work out and get away with eating like crap, that's not the case at all.
I spent almost all of my time here in Italy thinking I could eat however I wanted if I worked out and now I understand why I saw very little changes.
I stopped drinking soda completely (and I don't miss it), enjoy the occasional coffee (close to as black as I can make it), and drink tea (without sugar!!!!)
More protein and good fats, less carbs (which I'm a carbaholic so I struggle there)font>
