When you decide to clean your hot tub you should expect to get wet.
I expected to get a little wet. Not soaked. This was the first time draining my hot tub to clean it out. As clean outs go this was pretty lame. I didnt clean all the jets or the traps at the bottom. I didnt know how to get into the traps until after I had it half full. I also found out you shouldnt turn on the jets when there is only a little water in the tub. I had put in a bottle of cleaner last night and figured the longer it was in there the better. However I wanted to make sure all the lines were cleaned out. So, when it was about a third full I turned on the tub. I had cut all the power originally so it took a few minutes to reset. Well, they call them jets for a reason. If I had been doing this outdoors it might not have been an issue having water spraying all over. However, my hot tub is in my sun room. Needless to say, things got a little wet. Another lesson learned. One more lesson learned was to do this when its warm out. Its getting cold up here and the sun room isnt heated. Hopefully I wont end up with pneumonia. Hopefully the room will dry ok without gettly moldy. Hopefully I can find someone else to do this next time! LOL One casualty maybe be the electrical in the room. The master power for the tub works ok but all the outlets and the outside light arent working. I hope they just need to dry out. I checked the main breaker panel and the breaker hadnt tripped so I dont really know why its not working. I will check when its dryer.
