Apple Polisher

01/13/2009

Every given yourself a charlie horse on a stripper pole?! No? Actually I can only think of one person who reads my blog who could conceivably say yes (Hi Stacey!). Well let me tell you....it hurts. A lot. But today in class I discovered I was a little better at this then I thought I would be. I even did a one handed spin....by accident....I just happened to forget to grab the pole with the other hand. Then my teacher made me do it again. YAY ME! John said it figured that I was overachieving in my pole class.

My best friend Jamie pointed out yesterday I haven't blogged about Christmas yet. This is true. Here is a nice list of Christmas adventures.

- John got me books, a universal remote control and a tiny slow cooker. It's itty bitty! The remote control was so I stop asking him which remote I have to use and where that remote is. The books were fantastic!
- I got a lot cookbooks! YAY!!!
- John got a lot of socks...and polo shirts...
- Jackee loved her autographed Terry Pratchett book. Ironically she had told me on Christmas eve that it would totally rock her world if she got something like that in a conversation about the wishes we grant at work.
- I took my siblings in law minus one out geocaching on Christmas day. They loved it.
- Hammell family Christmas on the 26th was...overwhelming. My family experienced HUGE losses this year so to suddenly be in the same room as 30 other people who are all one family was scary and overwhelming for me.
- Jamie rescued me during the whole bowling insanity (I won't go into it but John almost ended up alone for the rest of Hammell Family Christmas.) THANK jebus h. vishnu for Jamie. Seriously. Oh and cute bartenders that mix great drinks, free bingo and appetizer platters. Thank you sista.
- Jackee and I created "Hammell-opoly" a monopoly type game with moments and things in the Hammell family as properties such as our apartment, two tickets to the ballet (Johns cousin and his wife are ballet dancers), my mother in laws taco salad recipe. Hammell bucks was the currency. The bad news was known as "Family Gossip" such as "Jake aired your dirty laundry on the radio pay $500" or "You forgot the taco salad pay $1000." The good news was known as "Family Announcements" such as, "Congratulations you provided the first great grandchild. Thank you for taking the pressure off the rest of us. You get $500." or "You got a great deal on swap and shop. You get $100 dollars." Our game rocked and was loved by all.
- I had wonderful conversations with many people.
- Overall the Christmas season this year wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I was still sad and very overwhelmed but I survived so I can't complain.

Oh if you want more blogging goodness ...I updated this blog too
