Blog request goes Fourth!

05/12/2009

So Macy wanted to know about me and John's sleeping habits and quirks and who snores.

Well John sores. Not loud. I always measure snoring loudness by how loud my dad snores. And John is actually pretty quite. My parents have been married almost 30 years (this September to be exact it will be 30....that's like forever!!) and I'm honestly unsure of how much sleep my mom has gotten in those years because of how loud my dad snores. She says she doesn't hear it any more. I have trouble believing that.

I only snore when my allergies are bad. I haven't had a bad allergy day since we moved out of our basement apartment which is really nice.

A weird sleeping quirk of John's is that he's a cuddly sleeper. I hate it. I hate it so much. There is a time for sleeping and there is a time for cuddling but the are not at the same time. Ever. If he goes to bed before I do, which is rare, he will pile up the blankets and cuddle those. When I sleep just leave me alone. I've always been like that. I use to share my bed with my cat Katja and she would find her spot and I would find mine and then we would both sleep like we hadn't slept in years. I sleep like the dead. My mom could vaccum under my crib and it wouldn't wake me up. I also stay in one spot. I rarely move when I sleep. When I'm out I'm out.

John is also the kind of person who rarely tries to go back to sleep if he's awake any time after 5 am. He'll just get up. That boggles the mind (is it bad that I had to try three times to type boggles because I kept typing bloggles?) I don't sleep late persay however I really don't like getting out of bed. Again I've always been like that. I'm not a morning person. I hate getting out of bed. John use to have to bribe me to get out of bed when we carpooled to work so he could get to work on time. Also don't try an talk to me to much first thing in the morning. Just trust me on that one.

John will talk in his sleep when he's stressed out. Just after I moved in with him I woke up to him saying, "Just give me all the pieces and I'll put it together." I've also heard him say, "If not now, when?!" Very entertaining. I on the other hand use to sleep walk when I was little. My mom has found me trying to get out the front door, watching the test pattern on the TV (I told her I was waiting for my show to come one) and asleep on my dads side of the bed. I seem to have grown out of it. Thank goodness.

John also wanted me to mention I'm a blanket stealer. He wants the world to know that. There John are you happy now?

I think John is Ty's sleeping double!
And I am so with you on the cuddle time vs sleep time. Ok, sleep close enough that theres maybe a little skin to skin contact... I'm talkin an arm... or a foot... lol. Ty wraps me up tho... and he's worse than ever with me being pregnant lol.

You naughty blanket stealer, you John has exposed you!

I have words like you with boggles, where you just stare at it and type it wrong!

Hehe, blanket stealer! Me too! The trick is to have two blankets apparently. I don't see how this really works, but apparently that's the word on the street...
