My laptop is kaput. Yup, the power supply on it went. It went in the midst of writing a post about our trip last night and transfering my pictures from my camera to my hard drive. I suddenly heard a snap sound come from my laptop and then nothing. No power. Nothing. Cue weeping and nashing of teeth.
Apparently we can recover my data (thank jebus!!) but it looks like a new laptop is in order. And of course I'm well passed my warrenty on it as well. Rawr.
This sucks. So I'll post about vegas tonight but it will lack pictures. As half of my pictures are on my laptop and the other half are on my memory card.
This really sucks. Though we're very very blessed at the moment as getting me a new laptop won't be a big financial strain as John recently received a raise plus his annual bonus.
And I know most of you are like yay a new laptop. Well most of you aren't married to my husband (at least I don't think you are.) He will make this a rather unpleasent experience. Not that he does this on purpose he does it because he wants the best system for me and it's like he's a computer guy for a living or something. He'll drag me to several different places. He'll have me look online. He'll ask me stupid questions that will intimidate me and make me feel dumb. He'll then try to convince me to run an alternative operating system because he's like that. Most couple fight when they buy new cars or new home decor or a home for that matter...John and I fight when we buy computer stuff. I would gladly wander into futureshop and just pick one out that I think is cool. Oh no we can't be having that. That's not the right way to do it. *sigh*
This will be an adventure!
But to tide you over until the epic vegas post...here is one picture. Me pondering the Grand Canyon. It's really big you know.
