I'm going to put this out there right now. You're going to have to bare with my this month. Blogging is a struggle. Doing anything is a daily struggle. Getting up in the morning is a chore. Social situations are causing me anxiety. I have to avoid certain books, movies, news stories. I have to avoid really normal every day stuff. I burst into tears at a German butcher shop the other day. A butcher shop for goodness sakes!
It's been a year since I landed in Edmonton and started death watch 2008. It's been a year since I, along with my family, started counting the days and then hours we had left with my Opa Maier. It's been a year since my Uncle told my mother and I that Opa wouldn't make it through February.
His heaven date quickly approaches. February 26th.
