Slight of hand

On another totally different note. John and I took one for the team yesterday. We were held hostage for 4 hours by time share people just to get cheap tickets to three things we really really want to do. What happened was Joe wasn't feeling very well yesterday. He was very very sick. He's okay now but yesterday was not nice. Anyway, John and I didn't want to wander to far or do to many things without him because we didn't want Joe to miss out. So we did things like shopping and what not. Things that John would do with me but because he cares about Joe he would not subject Joe to that pain. Anyway, we got hijacked by time share people. They offered us a deal of three tickets for everything for 90 bucks. Hmmmmm. Cost of admission of John and I into one of the attractions was going to cost $90 alone. So we figured why the hell not. It's a learning experience and it's cheap tickets and we weren't doing anything else.

So we experienced high pressure sales and now know everything you need to know about owning a time share. John wants to know more and wants to seriously look into it as an option. Yes, my John. It's 4 hours of my time I'll never get back. But we learned something about high pressure sales and that we never want to do that again. We walked away with no time share but tickets for 3 attractions and 50 bucks for dinner.

One nice thing about the whole thing though was the inital guy we talked to wanted to know what I did for a living. So I explained I worked for a wish granting organization. He got so excited about what I did for a living he forgot what he was doing. He wanted my card. He wanted to know what he can do to help similar organizations. I love what I do. It has the power to distract Time share mongers.

When we were done being held hostage and Joe was feeling so much better we went to see Penn and Teller. We all love them! Their TV Show Bullshit is fantastic. If you have not seen it you need to. They preach healthy skepticism and do it all whilst putting on a cool magic show and then showing you how they do it. They were fansmashingtastic!!! We all left feeling smarter. I'm not kidding.

Now on to more adventures!!
