Always Piney's Diary

Hi I am Piney

02/02/2013

Hi I am Piney,
I had a diary here once before but it got messy and went A wall.
I am 18, I don't work, I am not lazy I suffer from fibromyalgia I am not going to even try and explain it to you.
Normally I would say "Google it" But hey I will be nice and google it for you.
""fibromyalgia is "A common syndrome of chronic widespread soft-tissue pain accompanied by weakness, fatigue, and sleep disturbances; the cause is unknown."
Fibromyalgia is a common and chronic disorder. When a health illness or condition is chronic it means it is long-lasting. ""
Found at - http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/147083.php
There you go.
I used to study but that didn't work out too well.
I also used to work just before I got diagnosed but had to quit due to my illness.
Okay so anyway the point of this journal is so I have a place to vent when everything gets the better of me.
When people are calling me lay telling me to "fix" my Aspergers and my head is swimming.
But this can be a good place too.
I am going to try and come here and tell you about all the lovely stuff too.

Welcome back. Fibromyalgia seems to be quite common - I know a few people who have it, so I imagine a few people here will know what it is. For some reason, it does quite frequently co-occur with Aspergers - there seems to be some kind of link between the two.

My mother has fibromyalgia, and she believes her father had it as well. I'm currently in the process of attempting to rule it out (since there's no known cure), but I think in the end I'll be diagnosed as well.

I hate that many people remain ignorant. There's no reason nowadays not to inform yourself of the world around you and have a basic understanding of how things work. "Fixing" a condition you were born with is as easy as "fixing" your gender, which is to say, not easy in the least.

Anyway, welcome! I hope you find it suitable here

Welcome back to Bloop

I work with a friend who has fibromyalgia (and/or myalgic encephalitis and/or chronic fatigue) - she developed it after having glandular fever a few years ago. I've seen the effect it has on her and I wish so strongly that there was something out there that could help manage it better than what the current options do. I hope you find the strength to get through the day to day stuff... and I hope Bloop helps somewhat in that respect
