it's been a day of days
nothing ever seems to end
as quickly as we'd like
but we try to make the best
of the things we don't understand
generally they just don't go
as decently in the end

the obliviousness of living
whether it be between
you and I and maybe another
but you and I may never
make it through this way again

we change feelings like
the courage to leap before the fall
and maybe it's the distance
that drives us closer to the cliff
but you and I and maybe another
will maybe never be just
you and I alone
and then we just quite possibly
may never come this way again
