So it's not that I've given up.... I have just kind of put the whole situation on the back burner.
I love him, I always will, but I'm not going to sit around crying and be sad every day trying to
figure out how to make him love me back. First and foremost, he is one of my very very very
best friends, and I have a hard time knowing where to draw lines so I don't end up ruining our
friendship if nothing more ever happens between us. Yes it would SUCK if nothing more ever
happens, but I'm not willing to give up our friendship to try to push for it either. So right now
we just talk and laugh and joke around, like things were before all the craziness happened.
I kind of like it this way... less stress, less pressure, less feeling crazy... just us being us.
Sometime this winter he should be coming up here, then at least we can finally get past that
whole "meeting in person" hurdle... Which will be great, because that will be a really good test
of how we get along without 900 miles and a screen and keyboard between us... 
So for now life is good... I've had a lot of fun this summer, and it's about to be fall, my
favorite season... and I have the most amazing friends on earth to talk to every day who
always remind me that I'm loved... |
