Your Puppet (Poem) | 09/01/2011 |
I have not written in a poem in almost forever now.... leave it to him to bring it out of me... *sigh*
Your Puppet
8-31-11
You use my love for you against me,
You play with me like I'm a doll,
You put me on a shelf when you get bored,
And keep me waiting there until you call.
You toy with my emotions,
You repeatedly mess with my head,
You give me just enough to keep me hooked,
So I'm there when you need your ego fed.
You know I let you control me,
I'm your puppet dancing on a string,
You hurt me, then you flash that smile,
And all is forgiven as my heart starts to sing.
You're like a drug I can't put down,
You intoxicate my mind,
I'll still crave every word, every minute with you,
Long after you've left me behind. |
