Emergency Doc Appt. Today.

Really quick entry....

Last night I had a small bump on my lower stomach and it was a little sore.
This morning I woke up and couldn't move without horrible pain! I looked down and the bump was really swollen and purple and there was a huge red swollen ring around the bump.
I called and made an appt for Thursday which is my next off day. But it just kept gettig worse. I went into work and showed it to my manager and she wouldn't let me work. She told me to go to the doctor right then. So I had to call my doctor and have them work me in. It had already started draining this nasty stuff. eww.

So the doc said it was a bacterial infection. And started me on Keflex. 10 days of the crap. lol They are huge pills. But at least they are capsules. yay!

Okay one quick question before I get offline....
What the heck is an instead cup and how do you use it? lol

Sounds like you had an abscess. I've gotten one before. They aren't a lot of fun. If you find you ever start getting one again, soak it in Epsom salt, it drains the infection.

Broken skin usually, and bacteria can get in and infect it. I got one where I shave once. It was very painful and they had to cut it open. I got two more after that and the doctor told me to switch to an anti-bacterial soap and I haven't had a problem since. I use Dial. You may want to try that.
