If you read my last entry, you should know that all day yesterday Melissa was throwing up. She just kept getting worse. Even the Pepto wasn't helping. She finally fell asleep on the couch. But at about midnight she got up and went to the bathroom. She stayed in there for a really long time. I did not, however, go and check on her. I'm sorry, But I didn't want to see it. lol
When she finally came out she was all bent over and could barely walk. I took off running to grab her. She told me, in a VERY quiet whisper, that she just wanted to lay down. Then she proceeded to go towards the floor. I carried her to the couch and begged her to let me take her to the ER. she kept saying no. She said she would throw up if she got in the truck. [not that it mattered, since she was already throwing up.] So I called my sister and had her talk [threaten] her. lol she told her that if she didn't let me take her in the truck, then we would just call an ambulance. when I got off the phone with my sister, I put all of the dogs in their kennels. I grabbed a cup of ice water, a small trash can, a wash cloth and her pillow and threw them in the truck for her. Then I locked up and basically carried her to the truck.
Byt the time we got to the ER it was 1am. My sister couldn't come and be with us [she had already been to the ER that day for accidently stabbing her arm while at work. and they put her on Loratabs.] One of our good friends came up there to sit with us. It didn't take them long to take Melissa back, but when they did, they scared me. They asked her a bunch of questions. [as usual] but when she finished answering them, they grabbed heated blankets and put on her, they drew blood, they put in an IV, They did a catheter, and then they took her down for X-rays. Then they all left. They finished all of that at a little after 2am. And we didn't see anyone again until almost 4am. I think that's what scared me the most.
It turns out Melissa has a really bad UTI. They put her on pills for nausea and for the UTI. And then discharged her. She's still in a lot of pain. We just got home and I got her settled in. She's sleeping. It's 5am. [so don't say anything about my spelling, I haven't had sleep in almost 24 hours.] I have to stay up so that when the drug store opens to get her perscriptions filled. [if I don't stay up, I won't get up when they open.]
I'm supposed to work this afternoon. But honestly I think I'm going to go ahead and call in. I can't work on no sleep. I feel like shit myself because of it. Plus Melissa needs me here. Especially since she can barely walk because of the pain.
anyways- I'm out. Good Morning everyone. lol |
