Okay..... So I took a HPT Tuesday. It looked like a BFN at first glance. Although if you looked at it very closely there seemed to be a very very very faint line. I threw it away anyways. I went back later [I know you're not supposed to but I'm obsessive.] The line that was very faint had gotten a bit darker. Some people told me that it was just an evap line. So I took another one today.
Now, I used the same test as before. from the same pack.[I had a 3 pk.] If it had been an evap line then this test would have had one too after a while. It's been over 5 hours and there's no line to be seen on this test. But if the first one was a positive, then why was this one a negative?? The only difference was I didn't use FMU.

Was it a blue dye test, or a pink dye test? Pink dye tests are a lot more reliable. (That being said, I used a blue dye test and it turned DARK BLUE within about thirteen seconds. However, I tested over a week late because I was in some pretty severe denial.) I'd test again, but make sure it's a pink dye test. Or, better yet, grab a digital.

Best bet would be to buy a digital, like the others said. And if you think it might have anything to do with it ... use only FMU - and definitely wait until the day you're supposed to start your period if you didn't!
