education

10/04/2011

Education is a must for me. I must graduate on time and have a decent job. I'm stressing out because of parents and financial aid.

I'm very independent to be my age, and my parents do not help at all with my school. Not that they actually could. However, instead of spending almost 600 dollars on chopping up a cow and getting it vacuumed sealed and put into their freezer, they could have gave some to me. I feel because I support myself fully in college that I should not have to report my mom's income of only 30,000; I should only report my 7,000 that I made. I would get so much more financial aid, well maybe same amount but less in loans!!

I don't understand why it's so expensive, I mean it is totally worth it. But there are so many out there that don't get to go to college for that specific reason! This lessens the amount of college educated in the U.S. but yet we all promote "go to college" blah blah. It's kinda hard when your parents make too much money to get fin. aid, but they really can't put you through school and now it's even harder to get loans!!

I'm in debt before I even graduate college and have a job! And who is to say I will even have a job???

I love college though!!

You're lucky they bothered with your financial aid.... My mom would not give me any information to even put on the application. Thus, I could not go to school to earn an accounting degree. I could be making good money by now if she had not been so stubborn. D: Best of luck to you, though!!
