Only idiots breed dogs and cats on purpose...

I am the biggest advocate of not breeding animals... especially for no reason...
This makes me SO MAD!
I recently came across a random diary and she has written on her front page that she owns a Dotson (which is actually spelled Dachshund), then she contiues on that she wants to buy another so she can breed them
WHAT THE FUCK
I mean SERIOUSLY!!!
What do random ignorant people have doing breeding animals... there is so much more to breeding then just putting the dogs together till they "do it" and then waiting for the babies....
I am a Veterinary Techician and see WAY to much of this..
there are THOUSANDS of animals that are Euthanized EVERY DAY in America due to lack of housing for them, and random ignorant people who just want some cute puppies decide to breed more!!!
OH!! this topic just gets under my skin WAY too much...
I really hope she learns how to spell Dachshund... then I think she goes on to lable some pictures of the dogs as Dachsund.. but nonetheless... still, not right...
OI VEY!!
I just cant take it!!
oh well... I guess I'll be over my rant for now, but I may have to vent again...

My adoptive mother did that.

About once a month or so I would call her to keep in touch, and one time she announced she was getting a mini Dachshund, even though the last thing they needed was yet ANOTHER animal.

A couple months later she got a female "because they would have such cute babies!!!!" *eyeroll*

Not only that, but she bought them from pet stores, which I am totally against.

Then she was all kinds of surprised that her boy doxie not only knocked up the girl doxie, but also the toy poodle. Did she NOT realize that they are not deterred by breed differences?

Lo and behold, they had 10 dogs. And a smelly house.

I really hope those animals got good homes, but I no longer talk to her so I wouldn't know.

That's really shitty. The thing is, there are people who will pay thousands of dollars for these dogs, and well, I guess breeders lose sight of what's really important.

what online program are you using? (photobucket? Picasa?) I prefer picasa, myself. no matter what you use, right-click on the photo and say 'view image'.
