In my last entry I talked about a post from the girl I like, about how she met an amazing guy, and I was almost certain it was me?
Unfortunately I was wrong.
I decided to tell her how I felt about her, and whilst she was incredibly kind about the whole ordeal, she told me she'd met someone else, she liked him, and that they're together now. And if it weren't for him, something could well have happened between us.
Does it hurt? Yes.
Am I jealous? Of course.
I really felt that we had a connection, and I wanted her to be mine ever so badly. But alas, as I am not one to act on petty jealousy, and because of how close of a friend she is to me, I just want her to be happy. Therefore, I have decided to step aside.
Do I regret that decision? Yes.
No matter, as this entry is entitled, on to more positive things. I have a lot to look forward to over the coming weeks.
1) On Wednesday evening, I am going to my friend Liam's house with a bunch of friends to get drunk and play Magic The Gathering, D&D, and a whole manner of other nerdy past times. I am not familiar with them, but learning them with my best friends is always a blast.
2) On Friday morning, I depart to Cardiff for a weekend with my best friend in the whole world. A weekend where we will eat plentiful amounts of crap, watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony, drink copious amounts of alcohol, visit Barry Island for a day at the beach, and veg out watching Jeremy Kyle. I couldn't ask for a better weekend. I barely get to spend time with her as it is, but I literally cannot wait.
3) On the following Monday night, I'm going to Sakura with all of my friends to get amazingly drunk in celebration of my 21st birthday. My birthday isn't until next Wednesday, but Sakura runs a metal night on a Monday. Metal, moshing, and massive amounts of alcohol. I like this.
4) On Tuesday evening, Myself, my Mum and my Sister are going out for a nice meal for my birthday. I don't quite know where as of yet.
5) Wednesday is my 21st Birthday! I'll be seeing my Grandparents, and ending the day by going to the pub with some friends.
6) Last but not least, next Saturday, I fly out to Egypt for 3 weeks with my family! I'll get to see my Aunt and Uncle out there, and spend the whole 3 weeks there with them, and I can't wait. Sun, Sea, Beaches and Scuba Diving. |
