Busy Busy Busy, Where It Stops No One Knows

11/25/2010

It seems these last two months are zooming right by and no matter how much I drag my feet to slow it down it just keeps moving. I need a break with no kid, no husband. I think I am going to ask Santa for a massage an hour long one, or pedi and medi with a massage. Well the Christmas window I started on with poster paint, was washed off, and redone with acrylic paint (water based, very importation!) I am loving the acrylic paint over the poster. So much smoother and cleaner and more crisp with detail. Right I am waiting for the blue color to dry to do a second coat.

I spent yesterday redoing the Merry Christmas and than doing the outline for Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Woodstock. This is the picture I am using but only the characters that I mentioned

I am also going to do the tree differently too. So far I am pleased with how its turning out. This is the Merry Christmas with the acrylic paint.

And here is the outline before filling it in.

I went back over each line, added some more detail, cleaned up some areas, and started painting the blanket wrapped around the tree. The only stencils I used were for the Merry Christmas letters. Everything else is hand painted by me.

I am pretty shocked by how well I did. I hope it comes out great when I fill in all the color. So far I am really proud of myself. I made the mistake of asking Chris what he thought last night and his comment was its good but you know its copyrighted. UGH!!!!! AMN IT I KNOW!!! I AM GOING TO GET CREDIT TO THE PERSON AT THE BOTTOM!! AMN YOU!

Yeah I got pissed. I am sorry but saying that over shadows the whole its good comment. I am just fustrated by him for that, but .... I don't know .... thats Chris. I don't get him sometimes.

My mom visiting actually went pretty well. Cj enjoyed the visit and was pulling them all over the house to play. They showed up Friday middle of the day and we hung at home and than Saturday just mom and I went out shopping.

I did out right tell her WE ARE NOT driving by dad's house and I am not telling you where they moved. If they want to let you know they will. I also had to get onto her for putting down Tom and just critizing him in front of CJ. She tried to turn around and say I see the things you two do and you two critize each other. I turned to her and said, "This is MY house and MY rules, all I ask is you follow them and if you don't want to you know what to do." I shocked myself I was so stern.

I also told them no swearing or being perverted. If they swore I would wash out their mouth. I don't have an issue with shit, its the F word I have the biggest issue with. So they followed those words to a T. There was one slip up but she apologized and we went on with our day.

When she got here I asked CJ if he wanted to show them the guest room and his bedroom and he went up and showed the guest room by running in and jumping on the bed. LOL, my lil monkey. Than he showned them his room and his closet where the monsters live.

Saturday our last store to go to was suppose to be Hobby Lobby but I got lost giving directions on the way there and we ended up at a Antique and Craft Store and I found all these cute small oil lamps, I even found a lil mini one. I LOVE oil lamps and mostly the glass blown ones. To me they represent a happier time in my life and they just make things feel cozy. There is one that still had oil in it which I need to get open and pour it out. I don't light them mainly because of CJ and the cats. Maybe when CJ gets older.

Well I have to go paint some more. And hopefully finish a preemie santa hat and maybe work on another thing. Oh I'll leave you with pictures of my lastest polymer clay things. And when I get a chance I'll take pictures of my pottery I did.
