♥Broken Glass and Interstate

I know that I suck. That puts it pretty simply I suppose. I just haven't felt up to being online lately. I got online today and had over one hundred emails waiting for me. I never let it go that long. But I will tell you why I have been worse then I normally am lately.

So like I said in my last entry Josh decided to leave a wee bit early since he didn't have to work anymore in the week. He got off at 6 and we left town at 7:30pm on our way to his moms. We got into Minnesota and had just passed through Albert Lea. The weather was turning yucky fast and it was doing some kind of mixture of rain and snow as we drove. The roads were still clear but the overpasses had froze because as we drove over one and a car ahead of us slowed down we followed suit just to make sure we didn't come up on them to fast. we didn't slam on the breaks or anything, just slowed down lightly as one normally would and the truck lost control. It spun over towards the middle of the interstate and then Josh tried to correct it and brought it back onto the road. He drove it right into the concrete barricade on the side of the overpass because if he didn't and we went another foot further then we had we wouldn't have even hit it, we would have missed it and dropped off the side of the overpass. Anyways, we hit it going fifty something miles per hour on my side of the truck.

I don't remember thinking I was scared when I look back and it's kinda weird. I don't even remember knowing it was an overpass til the truck was stopped and I looked out my window to which I could look straight down and see the road beneath us. The truck was stuck on the barricade and I couldn't get out of my door. The frame was bent all the way across jamming Josh's door shut too so we were stuck til the cops got there. But since it was state jurisdiction we had to wait for a trooper and the nearest one took over an hour to get there. We sat in a dead truck with no heat, in 27 degree weather for an hour and a half waiting for someone to get to us. I kept waiting for someone else to slide on the ice to and hit us, we would have went off the edge. I was literally scared out of my witts. I cried a little bit and shook alot. Thought I was going to throw up.

No major injuries though. I think I jacked up my back and my hand. I cannot grab anything using force with my hand. I have a gigantic bruise across my poor boob from my seat belt. And to top it all off now I have some horrible sinus cold thing that makes me feel like I am dying on top of being already dead and sore. The truck is totaled though. They gave us 8300 dollars from insurance for it. Which paid it off at least. The frame was bent, the windshield cracked, fluids leaking from everywhere, dead battery, suspension and axel broken and gone. And that are only a few of the problems they listed to us.

We are okay though. Josh was fine since it didn't hit on his side. Just mine. I am sore all over. We are both sick although Josh seems to be feeling better this morning. We still went to Minneapolis this weekend and I will write more about that later because I have pictures! But I just wanted to let you guys know why I am a slacker.
