So I got my taxes back and I did go on a bit of a spending spree but it was a good spending spree. I've wanted a new bed, since I've never actually had a brand new bed of my own, just hand me downs. Plus I've never had a headboard, foot board and all the jazz. So today I went to the local factory outlet for furniture and got a beautiful slatted sleigh bed in a dark cherry color. Then I went to the local furniture store that was having a close out sale on pillowtop mattresses and got a sealy queen size with a 10 year waranty. May I just say I'm happy with myself. I did go and buy brand new sheets and bedspread set for it too plus 4 brand new pillows. I felt like I owed myself considering all that I do, I wanted something really nice. I'm not really worried if all my furniture matches, so at the factory outlet they had a media chest which is kinda like a dresser only it has slots for a dvd player and all that stuff. It was 189 dollars, which was a total steal, its a warm walnut color and i'm going to take out the dresser that I've had since I was a kid and put in this new dresser plus get rid of my smaller dresser since this one is big enough to hold everything.
I've been sick as some of you know. Strep throat sucks and when you have it so bad you can't even drink water, then you know something has got to give. Also Austin's been sick. We went to the dr monday and they said double ear infection. I couldn't get the meds into him so on Wednesday we went back and they said, oh there's nothing wrong with him except a runny nose. Now he's been grabbing his ears and just miserable but whatever. Last night I took him to the er cause he woke up screaming and grabbing his ears. Then I noticed he had a rash. So at the er they did a strep test and it came back negative, his ears look fine and they say the rash is just viral other then that they don't know. She said he's definitely sick but not sick enough yet that they can do anything. You should've seen my expression, it was one of those are you a complete moron or should i just hate you for sounding stupid looks. So needless to say this mommy is very aggravated.
I'm officially spending valentine's day alone. One I'm single. Two I'm single. And well three cause no one seems to want to spend it with me. So yup I'll be alone. But its ok, cause in the end I've got Austin, I've got an awesome new bed and for now that's all I need. Maybe tomorrow I'll need something more.
