LONG AWAITED :] ♥
My determinaton & hard work finally paid off. I knew some day id get to this point, maybe even sooner then i thought. I landed a full time Educational Assistant job :] . Also, it is LEVEL ONE which is just icing on the cake. It's at the school i did a term for last year & that i have been working full time [casual] since the start of this year. Their is one small issue though but i believe in a month or so that will be smoothed over. To make a long story short i am working with a student who is new to the school. Since they are new to the school they are not funded. He should be & most likey will be. Once, the student is they will have to find a Level Two or Level Three Para. Since I am Level one they won't be able to put me with the student unless i apply for it. They are still technically paying me appropriately since the student isn’t yet funded. However, in the afternoon I work with another student who is funded [part time]. They way I look at it is yes, it sucks am getting paid as level one when am doing level two work. But, at the same time I don’t mind doing the extra work because unlike the other Paras I don’t have any sonority. Since they have sonority they can be more picky with their work. Another Para approached this kinda topic & when she was given the answer it did make sense. I don’t quite recall it.
Oh well though, all in all I am happy, thrilled, excited & relieved that I finally landed a Para Job. I know, in the long run this extra work that I have put in will pay off and towards the end it will be more like a Level One job. Last but not least, Assinboine Bank here I come to get my loan [ TO TRAVEL!!] now that I have a full time job :] |
