the ups and downs

walmart was kinda disappointing

05/16/2010

I was really disappointed with WalMart. I found two shirts that I liked, but neither of them fit me very well. They didn't look nice at all. So I looked at shoes, and I found a pair of shoes on clearance for $11.00. They're very cute, but I don't think I'll be able to wear them at work. They're higher heels than I'm used to, and the backs are open, so I'll definitely have to wear them around the house some to get used to them before I wear them out. I also ended up getting one of those body-shaper things that smoothes things out. And some under things. I decided next time I'm going to get some new jeans. Maybe at WalMart, maybe at somewhere else. I've lost a little weight since the last time I bought jeans, so the ones I have now don't look very good. So I ended up spending my $50.00, but I was really hoping to come out with some new shirts more than anything else. I'll look for some again at WalMart, but I'll probably end up having to go somewhere else for that.

On the upside, husband found him some new shirts for work that were only $5.00 each and some jeans that were only $9.00 and a pair of shoes for around $25.00. So I guess it wasn't that bad a trip.

So which stores would you recommend? I don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes, but I definitely need some shirts for work.

Hmmm, I know how you feel. I can never find clothes that fit me in wal-mart, and if they do.. they look terrible. I would say go to family dollar.. cheap but they have some okay stuff sometimes...maybe target? Or Debs in the mall have some ok semi-cheap things.

Ugh I use work N' Gear for all my stuff, I spend a lil more money there then at walley world yet, its much better quality!

Have you tried Ross? I buy my maternity shirts from there because like you, I don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes that I will only wear for 3 more months.

Sorry, that last comment about Ross and buying maternity shirts was from me. I thought I was logged in.
