today we went to two sales that were raising money, one for missions and the other for young life. and we stopped at a sale at a house on the way home. we both got some shirts, and we got a few movies (all VHS, so weird LOL) and a couple of games. oh, and a book about wine. and an ironing board. LOL. I love going to see what other people are getting rid of that we can make use of.
we also stopped at walmart, and i ended up splurging on the Avatar DVD. it's not very often that i really like a movie, so i didn't resist picking it up. no more splurging for a while.
i was reading my facebook news feed today, and i saw that the Walgreens coupon booklet for May is supposed to be available now. This website has a list of everything that's in it. One thing that is really exciting is that there is a coupon for $2 off a Revlon lipstick. several days ago, i printed a coupon for a revlon lipstick from revlon's website for 3.00 off a Revlon colorburst lipstick. Because the Walgreens coupon is a store coupon and the Revlon coupon is a manufacturer's coupon, i can use BOTH of them and get $5.00 off the lipstick. Now, I don't know how much it costs, but I'm pretty sure $5.00 off makes it pretty cheap. Unfortunately, it looks like that coupon isn't on the website anymore. But if you go to this website, you'll see a list of coupons that are expected in tomorrow's newspaper. Not every location gets every coupon that's on this list. My coupons don't usually match the list  but there are some Revlon coupons there. You'll have to look at the coupons to be sure, but you might be able to match up one of those Revlon coupons with the Walgreens coupon to get a great deal.
And you should definitely check out those websites. There's all kinds of good stuff on them. Thrifty Common Cents is definitely my favorite. And she posts all the deals on facebook!
