Home, finally!!! & I met Jennifer Aniston!!!!!! (London)

03/14/2010

FINALLY HOME!!!

It was a great trip! I liked London, but I must say it is the dirtiest clean city I have ever been in. And, now I am all stuffy and congested and I keep sneezing and I can't breath out of my nose. I blame the air. But, all in all I enjoyed it.

We hit up all of the touristy sites. Big Ben, The London Eye, Tower of London, Parliment, British Museum, Westminister Abbey, Buckingham Palace. We saw 2 shows: Jersey Boys and Billy Elliot both of which were amazing! The 12 year old that played Billy Elliot was an amazing dancer. The flight wasn't too bad. I met my parents in Charlotte and we were on the same plane into London. There was a lot of good shopping I got a really cute purse- it was patent leather with chain straps. I also picked up some British Bridal magazines, which were fun to look at on the way home.

I met Jennifer Aniston in London!! The London Premier of The Bounty Hunter was 2 blocks from where we were staying! So, my mom and I stood at the red carpet and Jennifer Aniston walked right by us and I got an autograph. Gerard Butler was there too. But, he didn't get to where we were staying- they chauffeured them into the theater.

I missed Ryan though! I am glad to be home. Now the unpacking begins- which sucks! I hate unpacking. I have a lot of wedding stuff to figure out this week. I just logged into theknot.com and it says 223 days until the wedding! Yikes!! It is going to come fast It also brought up a check list and says I have 366 items to go!! Double YIKES!

I want to look at invitations and get a Save the Date sent out soon. I want everything to coordinate. So, we need to get started on that. I also want to figure out a vendor for the flowers and the cake, photography and videography. I have a good list of possible vendors going and I have researched them some online. So, I need to call around and see who is available and see if I need my mom to go over and check things out for me. I also need to plan a trip to Charleston soon. Luckily the catering will be done through the reception venue. We just need to pick the menu from their options.

Ryan is going out of town on Tuesday & Wednesday. I have an appointment with some girlfriends to try on wedding dresses at a boutique in Brimingham on Saturday morning, our engagement party with friends is on Saturday night and we are getting engagement photos taken on Sunday! Going to be a busy week!!

Updates coming soon, hopefully. Also, I am starting a new challenge tomorrow. I have decided I want to be a vegetarian. I have been thinking about it for awhile. I don't really crave meat. I am going to keep eating fish, becasue I love fish. But, I am going to give it a try. We'll see how long I last. I think it will be a good pre-wedding diet. Updates on that to come too!!

How exciting that you met Jennifer Aniston like that. I was in London once and noticed them setting up for the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus premiere in Leicester Square, and did what you did... stood there hoping to see Johnny Depp, or Colin Farrell, but they didn't come.

London IS dirty. Did you notice how when you blow your nose when you're there, the snot is black? It's so polluted. I don't think any other British city is like that.

ryc: Yeah, pretty much every movie that comes out in the UK gets it's premiere in London's Leicester Square.

Lol, and yes there's always some British C-list celebs that show up... at the premiere I saw there was quite a few of those. I didn't even know who half of them were! (And I'm British!)

That's awesome about getting Jennifer Aniston's autograph! I love her! I bet London was pretty fabulous despite all the smog. Yes Bora Bora is exciting and the date keeps bouncing around because my future brother-in-law is over seas in Iraq so we are waiting for him to come home before we make any MAJOR plans. Like setting a date
