White Doves This next idea that I came across is one that I absolutely LOVE. I hope to find some white doves to be able to try this out this year. The link is below the pics to the site in which I found these images for more precise instructions. But basically it requires string...something invisible is what I would use so the birds seems to actually be flying. In my case good ole' fishing line is gonna work. :) Hot glue gun for attaching the beads and ornaments to the doves. Push pins to hang doves from the ceiling. You attach the two strings or fishing line to the dove on their back. Length is gonna depend on how far you want to suspend the birds from the ceiling. I would cut pretty long lengths to start with because it's easier to cut off extra than having to add some. I haven't tried this yet because I haven't put up my tree let alone looked for doves. But my guess would be to attach one string with a push pin or hot glue to where the neck meets the back and another to where the tail meets the back. Then you attach the other ends to the ceiling using the push pins. Just wrap the string around the pin and push into ceiling. Now you'll probably have to do some adjustment by shortening one string or loosening the other so that the bird hangs right. As I said I have posted the link so that you can read her directions for yourself and come to your own conclusion. I rarely do anything precisely according to someone else's instructions. I just go with what is easier for me and half the time I'll get halfway through a project and change something because I like making things my own. But this is a really neat idea no matter how you end up doing it. Look!
