Gift Baskets
So, I was looking up ideas for a new way to package homemade cookies without just tossing them in a pretty tinned can with a bow. Nice...but plain. Not much thought in it. In the process of browsing the net to find something I found several other ideas as well that I can now for other people that I just wasn't sure of what to get them. The first one still goes with the cookie idea then several others follow. Also, most of these that I seen were done with baskets which you can either buy brand new or shop your local thrift stores for and still find really nice ones. Or you can find something else to package it in.
Cookie Basket Basket Homemade cookies (chocolate chip, sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies, etc.) Hot Cocoa mix 1 or 2 Christmas mugs Candy Canes Ribbon Ornament Tissue paper or Crepe paper shreds (find in party supply sections) Add tissue paper or crepe paper to basket. Arrange cookies, cocoa, mugs, and candy canes nicely inside basket. Intwine ribbon around basket handle or around the basket itself, and tie off with a bow. The ornament you can place inside the basket or thread the ribbon through it when making the bow for an extra touch. Other themed ideas include: Chocolate Favorite type of chocolate bars (ex. Hershey's), cocoa mix, brownies, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate liqueur, fudge sauce for ice cream, etc. Movie Night 1 or 2 DVD's, gift certificate to movie rental place, microwave popcorn, theater size boxed candies, cans of soda, etc. Gardening gardening tools, gloves, seed packets, flower bulbs, small watering container, small peat pots.
The ideas are endless! Below is a link to a great site that has tons of ideas. I think the best thing about themed baskets/containers is that they can be budget friendly. If you can't afford a lot...buy a smaller basket to fill. A lot of things can be found at dollar type stores and such. It all depends on you and whom your giving it too. It's also great because you can give it to people of all ages. Kids, teens, adults, and seniors because it's based on the person itself without a tag saying "for ages 3 and up". I hope you enjoy and have some fun with this! Link: Homemade Gift BasketsEdits and Blooper's IdeasOkay, here's a suggestion from a fellow blooper, Money Talks. For the chocolate basket you can add plastic spoons that have been chocolate dipped for stirring coffee, hot chocolate, or just simply to suck on! I might have to make me some of those. ladida layouts
