Sheet Music Art
Another one of my favorite Christmas decorations which I only discovered last year has to do with Christmas lyrics. Yes, as a decoration. I just simply looked up on the internet some sheet music to my favorite Christmas songs and printed them out. I have an example below. I printed them on cardstock though it wasn't necessary. Then I just simply framed them. I found some last year that had some elegant icons on them which made it nicer. If you want a more vintage look simply tea stain them to give them an older feel. With a nice matte and a frame they are some nice decorations. If you can't matte them or have just a plain jane frame you can simply take thin ribbon and wrap it around the frame before inserting the sheet music. I did this with some pictures of my sons to give it a candy cane striped effect which everyone loved. A roll of thin ribbon usually only cost around 50 cents. Just tape at the corners, start wrapping, pop in glass, music, and frame backing, and oila...a decoration! It was just something I came up with when I needed something for a space that didn't have anything. Give it a try. Edits and Blooper's Ideas

We have shop-bought ones, and put them in metal boxes. Although I don't like shop-bought ones, and I do sometimes bake cookies, because I lived in Canada for a while, so got used to the North American way of living. I sometimes went to cookie swaps in Canada - where people had spent ages making their cookies look really pretty with lovely decorations and packaging. Whereas mine were just brown splodgy things in a tupperware box (but they still tasted good!
