I've had an account at Bloop since 2003. I've been through MySpace, Fakebook and all of that crap that comes and goes, but it's not the same. I really like sites like Bloop, and sometimes I'm surprised they still exist. These days, people just care about posting useless information or something they think is trendy. Don't get me started on Fakebook, which I shouldn't anyway, because I didn't make this entry to talk about Fakebook. I made it to talk about Bloop. I really miss the days when my friends and I communicated through Bloop or Open Diary. People got to know one another and share their lives. It felt like reading stories where the main characters were my friends. I like Bloop more than Web sites in general because the format has not changed much over such a long time. I think I'm one of the few people who don't like Web sites that completely change their layout. It seems like about once a year, Yahoo feels the need to change their design so I have to go on an adventure just to check my e-mail. OK, I'm done. Those are the ramblings of an old man who cannot let go of the past. |
