The weekend was absolutely amazing, one that broke many boundaries and one that made me realize and appreciate what was right in front of me all along. I spent it with my best friend, and for the most part, we were alone all weekend. It was fun just sitting there and being with him, doing absolutely nothing except existing on the same plane.
He has begun telling me he loves me without any problems, without thinking twice.

I have been speaking with an attorney who seems to sympathize with my needs as far as contact times and information go. Hopefully, she will contact me again tomorrow. All I need at the moment is information, and I need to get everything necessary together until I can make my next move.
Life has become like a very meticulously balanced chess game, or perhaps a time-sensitive puzzle, ready to implode at any given moment. I am willing to play, and willing to solve it as needs be. I am patient enough, and I believe enough that when this is done.... I will be better off. All it takes is not losing hope.

My husband has begun talking to people he should not be talking to. People he had once considered cheating on me with, and randomized females from the internet. While this should bother me, I feel nothing anymore. My emotional turmoil has simply ceased to be. I am finally calm, restful.... even meditative. Simply being patient is sometimes enough to end the chaos around me....

I am working on our Halloween costumes for this year. The Joker, Harley Quinn, Two-Face and Scarecrow in formal wear. I am beginning work on mine first, simply because I have all the supplies necessary to make it right at hand now. The others will have to wait.

*Scarecrow : Blank mask obtained. Costume and props in 2 weeks.
The actual plans....
The Joker : Venetian-style mask painted in The Dark Knight/Heath Ledger style to match his make-up from the movie, with a few embellishments to make it a bit more formal. Make-up will blacken the eyes, the rest of the face will be clown-white. The hair will be spray neon-green, sealed with a layer of transparent hairspray for staying-power. The costume is a button-up white shirt with vest or jacket and purple or dark pants trimmed in white ribbon and painted in neon green and purple "HA HA HA's" all over. (Hand-painted.) Shoes will match the clothing. Bowtie will be either neon green or purple ribbon loosely around the neck. Lips will be red lipstick done in the traditional Joker-smile OR I will substitute this for the "scars" as per his request and comfort-level.
Harley Quinn: Blonde wig pinned and styled into pigtails with red and black ribbons tied in it. Venetian style mask will be painted black and embellished with white tulle and silver ribbon spiraled around it in a thin line around half the top and half the bottom of the mask. A red lipstick smile (smaller than the Joker's) and black eye makeup as well as clown-white makeup will match the Joker's. A red and black rose will be placed on the right side of the mask for extra embellishment. Tulle and ribbon will be added for extra embellishment in the hair. The dress itself is in two parts. A re-purposed red and black embroidered corset with red fabric or ribbons draped across the shoulders as seen fit. Long formal gloves (one red satin, one black satin) will be worn. The skirt will be multi-layered in white, black, and red. Short in the front and gathered long in the back in an almost can-can style dress. White tights and black shiny heels complete the look.
Two-Face: Natural hair slicked down on one side, and the other side messed up and painted a white-ish color. The face and neck will be treated with "burn" makeup and textures, painted and greased realistically, then set for staying power. The mouth will not be painted, nor will it need to be held open. Liquid latex will create facial texture. An "appliance" will be molded to form the burnt-open mouth with faux teeth mounted inside it. This appliance will be in two pieces, that will move freely when he speaks to make it as realistic as possible, as well as provide comfort when eating or drinking or talking. This will be held in place with spirit gum. His costume will consist of either a button-up shirt, pants and tie that are two-tone or burnt on one side, or a suit that is treated much the same with matching shoes. We are debating the coin, and will probably obtain it, as Two-Face is notorious for it.
Scarecrow: A mixture between the traditional and the newer version.... I am using a more "comfort" burlap fabric to create a lightweight and wearable mask. It is also Venetian style, and the burlap itself will be adhered to it, and rippled realistically down the face and stiffened to fit OR adhered with spirit gum by way of plastic attached to the back of it for easy removal. Black stitches will run through it here and there, as well as mark a "smile" or unhappy face. The same stitches will be adhered to around his lips with spirit gum dependent on the makeup used. This leaves the mouth free for talking, eating and drinking. His costume will consist of either an Arkham Asylum inspired outfit with a noose tie for his "formal" tie, or a wrinkled up shirt and semi-formal looking clothing used. This is dependent on how he wishes his character to be.

Is it obvious I invest a lot of time into my creativity? =) It's true, I do, but then again.... costumes and pretend have always been some of my favorite things, and this is SURE to be a memorable year. |
