You'd Be Good to Me

My own husband refuses to yield to any wishes or hopes I may have.

Yet you.... to ensure that I did not have to go to a doctor's appointment alone.... changed around your work schedule.

Whilst he tried to argue with me, when the stress has nearly landed me in the hospital with a flareup of my disease.... How does someone who "loves" you, stay determined to hurt you so badly? A question I will forever ask if I remain where I am.

Forgive me, all those who do not approve of divorce.

Forgive me, all those who do not approve of my actions.

But if you do not live for your happiness, and do not follow your heart.... What are you living for? For whom are you living for? Certainly not who you should be. If we live for others, we lose more and more of ourselves with each passing wave. There must be a balance. Both in making others happy and showing compassion, and in finding our own happiness in the journey we are on.

Soon, and very soon.... I will change my life.

i think you should do what you feel. i grew up seeing my mom live an unhappy life because she thought she was doing me a favor staying with him, it was a mistake. we have both suffered from it. it seems that my moms relationship was a bit more severe, but you never know what that could develop into. you should do you and have fun and ride roller coasters or whatever :]

He rages a lot and it really scares me. I have never been in an abusive relationship before, but I know all the signs. He has snapped on me for no reason whatsoever, and never apologizes for things he has done. So, it is going to go down that road, and I refuse to stick around until it gets horrific.

i'm glad your friend was able (and willing) to go to your appointment with you. i don't think you need to ask for forgiveness from those who do not approve. they aren't in your place, living your life. you should absolutely live for your own happiness. i hope your life changes for the better soon.
