This week has been interesting. With six kids doing online school right now - all in different grades - they are certainly giving me some challenges.
It started with children simply not doing their work. One of them would submit their work without actually doing it, instead they would post things like "what even is this?" To be fair, that's pretty hilarious. I'm sure the teacher laughed. Others would miss meetings and assignments.
I have been slowly but surely pushing them to success. They aren't missing meetings any more, four out of six of them are caught up on assignments and the other two are on their way.
With all that said, I'm sure that other parents are experiencing similar challenges. The teachers have been thrust into teaching online and that's difficult to do. I imagine as time goes on, they will get in their groove and the kids will become better at working.
One benefit to this online schooling is that I can handle their behaviors that I don't usually get to see. Behaviors that the schools would normally handle. It is interesting to see how those behaviors come about, and to note that many of them are from anxiety about school work.
Anyway, that's pretty much my week. In other news the garage is progressing and I can't wait for it to be done.
I think I'll do the TOTW entries soon.
Also - if you don't mind, check out my newest YouTube video: you don't own your children. I am looking for feedback regarding the content, the audio quality, the video quality, and anything else that might be relevant.
