Time: 9:41am
State of Being: haven't quite woken up yet
Song lyric in my head:
current desire: more caffeine. too lazy to head back into the kitchen for more coffee.
where am I?: in the bedroom on the bed
what's that noise?: live stream from my favorite morning radio show
So the challenge is to post every day for thirty days. Challenge accepted. Okay so realistically, it might be a little difficult. Time isn't on my side. I have time this morning. Actually I should be making study guides right now for my middle and high school science classes. But it'll take way too much time, so instead of giving them the study guides today, I'll just make them tonight and give them tomorrow.
Saturday night, Russ and I went to Disney on Ice with his brother, Rob and Rob's wife, Josie. I was probably the most excited one out of them all. lol! I felt like a little kid. I given cried a little when Ariel sang Part of you World, and at the end of the Toy Story bit when Andy said goodbye to all his toys.
After the show we went back to Rob and Josie's for dinner and didn't end up leaving till after midnight. On the way home, we hit a nail and ended up on the side of the interstate for about an hour for AAA or the Road Rangers to come by and help out. I was so tired.
So naturally, we didn't get home until well after 1am. I had to be at work Sunday morning for pharmbox duty. And naturally of course, I couldn't sleep well. I didn't actually get to sleep until 3 or 4. And yesterday at work was spent in a daze.
Yesterday at work, it was just me and a pharmacist, Cory. I'm thankful to work with Cory, because he works and helps out. He's a brand new pharmacist, so we can mold his little mind the way we want. hehehehe. But I went to work thinking that I was working with Cory. When I got the pharmacy, Pete (another pharmacist) was inside on the computer. My heart almost sank. While Pete is a really sweet old man, he doesn't work. I told him it was just us without a cashier. He looked at me incredulously and asked how that worked. I told him that pharmacists usually have to end up filling if the tech is stuck at the register. He was like "oh I don't fill." My mind just pictured the hell the day might because. Then Cory ended up knocking on the door. I guess Pete was told to come, but Cory's actually on the schedule. So Pete decided to leave. And while I like and respect Pete, the day would've been hell with him.
I ended up getting caught up on a week's worth of EODs. (End of Day labels consist of stickers we have to put on the back of scripts to file them), and also all the e-scribes (electronic prescriptions) get printed out and we have to fold them and then put all the RX numbers in numerical order and file them in packs of 100. Well there was about 800 scripts that were complete out of order from the chaos that was this week. And I spent pretty much the entire day putting them in order and filing them. So now instead of being a week behind, it looks like we're about a day behind. woo-hoo. although, I did it pretty much half asleep and having to take care of everyone who still needed scripts that day.
So after work, I was SO tired and braindead. I really wanted to make up some study guides for my kids this week, because I'm going to give a test on friday. But I was just staring at the screen and book and nothing was mentally computing. Then I was going to do it this morning when I woke up, but realized how much time it would take. So I guess I'll do it tonight then give it to them tomorrow.
*yawn*
guess I gotta get up and get ready for the day now. I'm at the school 11-3 (everyday) and then I go into the pharmacy from 4-9 today. yay for long days. I really hope I don't walk into a disaster in the pharmbox today. lol. oh and I'm excited to hear all the stories from my high school kids that went to DC last week.
