06/25/2014

Time: 1:46pm

State of Being:

Song lyric in my head: nothing now. gimme a couple minutes. songs randomly appear in my head for now reason. --a few minutes later-- I get by with a little help from my friends..
current desire: a clean apt. or motivation to clean the apt.

where am I?: in the bedroom on the bed

what's that noise?: watching Undeclared on Netflix. How have i never watched this before? So many people i love in it.

Haven't updated in a few days. Not much has been happening. Friday I worked with Bill for the first time in years. Bill is still Bill. There's a step after we fill the prescriptions. The pharmacists have to Visual Verify what we just filled. Make sure they were the right pills, and the quantity is right. Then after that, the RX goes to bagging where we bag it up and hang it up. Well Bill puts it into bagging before he even visuals it. Which get everything all wonky. Apparently he never logged any control substances he took in or even applied the order for the controls that come in on Fridays. So that's Bill. He's one of the nicest guys ever. He's just getting way too old.

I had Saturday off which was really nice. Only get one weekend off a month. This was my weekend off, and the other techs take turns taking that weekend. This was Donald's weekend, but he can't work on Sundays because he has another job driving around this older lady on Sundays and Fridays. So I work the Sunday for him and get an extra weekday off. It was nice too because I actually got to spend the whole day with Russ. We went to the pet store with LiL Bit, our dog. Then we got home played some board games. It was nice to hang out.

I worked Sunday and Monday. Normal work days. Except on Sunday some lady called me "dumber than a box of rocks." *Eyeroll* She had a prescription for a vitamin that's over the counter and didn't understand that getting it as a prescription is twice as much. Then the doctor wrote it as tablets when it only comes in capsules. So we had to call and get it verified. And the computer couldn't even tell me how much it was until we had an active prescription. And I get called dumb. Ugh. Retail seriously sucks my soul. I'm really tired of people yelled at by people all day.

I've been missing theatre a lot lately. I mean, I went to school for it. I have a degree in it. But I haven't done any acting since college. It's been kind of bumming me out.

I think my serotonin levels have been low lately. I decided that i've been too much of a lump. So I decided to do these random ten minute workout videos on youtube. My goal right now is just to get little active. Weight loss will be later.

OH! I forgot to mention. I'm going to see Linkin Park on August 8! Lindsay texted me the other day telling me about the concert and lawn seats were still on sale for $45. It's Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, and another band. I'm SO excited. I've always wanted to see Linkin Park in concert!

And it was really nice of DJ (one of my coworkers) to switch with me so I can have a Friday night off. It really really meant a lot.

So starting tomorrow it's my last five day stretch before my vacation. a whole 10 days away from wal-mart. It's going to be great. AND I get to go see my mom whom i haven't seen since the wedding. *dances*

People are so rude. It's not your fault it's more expensive to get it as a prescription. What is wrong with people, seriously? To call you dumb and not even know a thing about you. You're obviously not very dumb if you're working in a pharmacy. At least that's my take in things. Don't you wish you could just hit customers sometimes and not get in trouble? Lol

There are so many things I wish to say to customers sometimes. I mean I'm not a mean person. I avoid conflict like the plague. Russ and I have never even fought. But sometimes people say the rudest things that just require a comeback or at least a defense. But I have to keep my mouth shut and hands to myself to avoid losing my job. Retail just sucks. I've been in the game too long. lol

I wasn't really done with my comment yet... Lol

What kind of dog is Lil Bit?

The concert sounds like fun! I am going to an Eminem concert in August and I am so excited! I've been wanting to see him for years.

Lil Bit is a toy chihuahua. She's so tiny. 4 years old and full grown. We just got her a couple months ago from one of my best friends. She has two boys a toddler and a 4yr old and poor Lil Bit was really terrified of their never ending enthusiasm. Jilly (my friend) asked us if we wanted to take her in. We had just lost two dogs in a span of a year. Patches we had for a few years died suddenly from a stomach issue. Then we got a one year old puppy, Beau that ended up being crazy and had bone cancer. (after I was iffy about getting another dog because i was afraid of getting attached) Both were pretty big dogs, so this one is such a change. lol.

Eminem?? I'm so jealous! He's on my concert bucket/to-do list too. Have tons of fun and post pictures.

Aww. Losing a dog is the worst. We get so attached to them! Lil Bit sure seems like a suitable name. lol I have two cocker spaniels. I just love dogs.
