Well hello! I've been slacking on my bloop updates. It usually happens when I lose my lap-top for a while. Motivation dwindles.
Anywho, Russ and I went up to GA the 3rd through the 7th and visited my mom and step dad. It was really awesome to just get away. We drove up Thursday arriving that night. It was about a nine hour drive. We took Lil Bit with us. She didn't like the car ride very much. Once we got to mom's she was still a little nervous about the new surroundings, and their two dogs Lucy and Ralph. Lucy's a long hair chihuahua/dachshund mix and Ralph is a dachshund. Even though they are small, they're still about three times the size of LiL Bit. lol. But she eventually warmed up. Not the point of playing, but more tolerating/ignoring. They did like to sniff at her though which made her snap a bit, but she can't do much damage. Mom and Brad have a huge backyard where Lil Bit just LOVED to run around. It was awesome. We took her off the leash, because it's fenced in and just let her go crazy.
On the 4th, we went to a family friend's house. Hung around, ate, played cornhole, watched the neighbors light some fireworks and almost get their head blown off. Seriously, the kid was lighting fuzes as things were shooting up in front of him. My mom and I were cringing and hanging on to each other lol.
Saturday we went to the ARK which is an animal sanctuary. Like a zoo, there were Lions, Tigers, Bears (oh my!), monkeys, cows, bulls, birds, a wolf.. and a lot others. That was fun. It's free and relies on donations. I bought a shirt. I wanted to contribute. We went out for breakfast before and ice cream after at little diners in McDonough. (where she lives)
Sunday, we went to my mom's church. She was singing in the choir and also with another lady. Then went out for lunch at Longhorns. We pretty much didn't do anything that day. Just sat around. I wanted to go to visit my friend, Christina, but she lives about an hour away from them. By the time we got there, there would be little to no time to visit before we had to head back. I was sad, but there's always next time. Russ and I played some pool and darts upstairs. I think we went swimming. I can't remember if that was Sunday night or Saturday night. It's all blurry now.
Monday we woke up and moseyed a bit before it was time to go. Mom was gonna come home on her lunch break so we stayed to say goodbye to her. There were tears. And there were tears for a good bit of the ride home. I do miss my mom. lol
Lil Bit was better on the ride home. We ended up putting a t-shirt between us and she slept right there the whole time. Except when we took her out to walk her. We were wondering why we didn't think of that earlier. lol. She loves sleeping on our clothes.
Then we got back home monday night. I can't remember much of that week. I know I went back to work that Friday. Russ fixed the lap-top sometime in that little group of days.
So I've been pretty much just working. I had last weekend off so I hung out with my friend, Lindsay. We ended up going to the Wellington Green Mall, because we wanted to be somewhere indoors with air conditioning. I'm not really a mall person, but hanging out with Lindz is always a fun time. Her mom is one of the head managers there so we saw her. She's pretty much been a second mom to me since high school so it was really good seeing her. It had been over a year. The three of us went to Macy's (or was it JC Penny's? now i can't remember) where they had a massive sale. I ended up buying a really cute black flowy skirt that's very hippyish for 15 dollars when it was originally 60. Lindz' mom talked me into it. lol. I don't buy clothes very often. It's hard to justify spending money on things.
So between that t-shirt i bought in GA, and that skirt last saturday, those were pretty much the only clothes I bought in the last 10 months. I know I bought some when i was hired at that school of evilness, because i needed something pseudo-professional, because i mostly have t-shirts. And that was justified spending. lol.
anywho, the rest of the time i've been working. At the pharmacy. Where I am still yearning to be free. People are just rude all the time for no reason. I would go into detail of my customers these past two weeks, but it's not worth it. Just nasty people. I don't understand how people think it's okay to talk to others like that. ugh. okay i'm done before i start getting irritated lol. I'm in a pretty good mood now.
I just sent resumes off to over ten schools. Hopefully someone out there will hire me.
