.x. Worried

I've had an abnormal pap before. If I remember correctly it was because they didn't get enough cells or something. Not saying that's it in your case, but don't want to you worry when it could be something minor. I hope it's nothing serious!

Yeah, it's just that 3 years ago I had an abnormal pap. I freaked out and didn't go back. So it's been over 3 years, and I have another abnormal pap.

I always have abnormal paps. There are so many reasons as to why they come back abnormal. Heck, I celebrated when I got my first "normal" pap results, lol! Hopefully it's nothing.

same here...i have had an abnormal pap before...it usually happens if you have had sex the night before...or if the do not get enough cells like the other person said. And unless they specified that it could be potentially serious...i wouldn't worry. The most they have ever told me was that I had to have another pap the following year just to check.

I wouldn't be worried about it. I've had 3-4 abnormal apps and I've figured out what caused them (for me). A couple times it was because my appointment was so close to my period, and when that happens you're not normal down there that time of month obviously. And the other time or two was from having sex a day before the appointment, which is apparently a no no but I didn't know what at the time.
Just breath, you're probably fine! It happens to a lot of us at some point, it's usually nothing to worry about.

chances are you're fine, but don't blow this biopsy off. it is important. knowing why your paps are abnormal is the whole point of having the screenings done in the first place.

I've had several abnormal paps in my life. I wouldn't worry about it too much!

It doesn't necessarily mean cancer. A friend of mine had one come back abnormal and everything. Went for the biopsy and everything was perfectly fine.
