So, things have been going pretty good. I think we caught the break we was needing. With a catch. Good news first. Remember my van? The one I paid $470 a month for, for 5 years? Well, Dodge fucked up. Not exactly for sure on what, but something with the insurance that was applied to our monthly payments, and that the "language" didn't match for our state or something like that. So instead of being took to court, they just issued a check. Now, another catch....the van is in my mother in laws name and I'm the cosigner. Cause my credit rating is shit, just an FYI. Well, Friday, they sent a check to my mother in laws house per FEDEX. The check is for $6,508. Just what I needed to get the fuck up out of Knoxville and get back to Wartburg. So, we came to Wartburg this weekend to spend time with Charity and Ezra. We found a building. Mom and dad have 6+ acres of land. So, I don't want to pay thousands of dollars to buy a house and another few thousand just to move it onto the property. My idea?? A rent to own "garage" lol. Bear with me. It's a 12x28 garage. It has the 'farm doors' and a garage door. My idea is to pay the 400 deposit, and the 300 for first months rent and have it moved onto mom and dads property. Tomorrow we cash the check, so hopefully by Tuesday I can have it moved. I'm going to go get the wiring, outlets and lighting, bricks, insulation, walls, and paint. My dad knows how to do the electrical work, and we are going to get a gas generator for about $500. Til we can have the electric company see it as a home and not just a garage, we have to use a generator. They won't give us a meter til then. I also have to save up roughly $3000-$4000 for a septic tank. Now, it's big enough for our queen bed, a dresser, a bookshelf, our kitchen table, waylons crib, and a few other necessities. But we are going to start work and start building on, room by room, and make our dream house, slowly, out of a 12x28 simple garage :). I'm so excited to be getting in walking distance to charity and ezra! The catch to the check? Even though I paid thousands of dollars for that car, my mother in law thinks shes entitled to half the check cause her name is on it too. I can't prove I made the payments cause I always gave her the money and she called it in through her bank account. Oh well, you win some you lose some.
In other news?? Apparently I have 2 warrants out for failure to appear. Now, each charge is $500 a piece. But going through a bondsman, we will owe $137. So.....tomorrow, after we go to the bank, I have to turn myself in. They say I'll only be up there for a couple of hours, but I highly doubt that. So, around 11 AM eastern time, you can check knoxsheriff.org on the inmate population and see if I've been booked yet! Yo, I don't really feel like turning myself in in the morning. Not looking forward to this shit at all. I just want to get my garage and get the fuck up out of Knoxville already.
