I'm thinking of trying P90x. Has anyone tried it?

Hey so I am thinking of trying P90x. I need to kick my butt into shape, cause this whole plateau thing isn't cutting it. I figured this would be the perfect time, because I am only taking online classes and so I will have a lot more time. I am kind of torn though because I have my gym membership, but I can use the swimming pool and saunas for my sore muscles. I also read that if you have weight to lose (Like I do.) then you should also add in 30 minutes of cardio a day. I probably won't do 30 minutes a day, but I'll do like 30 minutes every other day depending on my work schedule and homework schedule. I wouldn't be able to order the P90x for another week though. So if you have tried it then let me know! I was thinking of doing just the P90, but I heard it gets boring because it's really just two different workouts.

my friend tried it, and it takes alot of committment, it works, but its 7 days in a row thing, but sundays are opitional, its stretching (on the dvd) she said its VERY hard... good luck *random noter*

that sounds tough, but you should do it and prove to yourself that you can!

I've tried p90x and haven't finished the program (something always happens to make me unable to finish it such as an injury from boxing or sickness).

It is HARD. Plyometrics is the killer (it's the second day) - it's basically jump training BUT it will definitely get you the results you want.

Just so you know, if you do p90x, I suggest you only do p90x and not anything else because then you risk overtraining and you won't get the desired results (which is what happened to me and I got injured).

Cardio is the most important thing ABOUT getting into shape. You should always "warm up" by walking or biking.
