A Cute Layout, The Singapore Zoo, And 'Booking' ProgressTUESDAY
12th February 2013, 8.22 AM.

Hi people! ^_^

I know, haven't been posting recently but that's 'cause I suddenly got lazy. Anyways, guess what?! We're going to the zoo today!! OK, it may not seem like a big deal to you but I haven't gone to the zoo for centuries. OK, not centuries, but you get the idea. Last time I went there, I was really little. Reckon I was younger than six. *Shrugs* I still remember when we were allowed to touch the elephant but I was too scared to touch its trunk. I don't know why I was scared. Most probably 'cause I had horrid thoughts about the elephants swinging me up with its trunk if I touched it and tossing me around.

I can't wait to reach there! According to my friends, it has changed a lot. And there are the two famous giant pandas. I forgot their names. Maybe Jia Jia and Xia Xia. Something like that, LOL. T.G's off to the zoo too but I don't know if it was yesterday or suppose to be today.

And bloomin' heck, I forgot to update on my 'booking' progress!! Let's see if I remember the titles and authors. Uhh...I've finished The Pasta Detectives, and also read Pretty Bad Things by C.J. Skuse. Am now reading My Dad Is Ten Years Old by...umm...I have to check (it's in my bag). It's by Mark O'Sullivan.

Guess that's all. ^u^

Have an awesome day, everyone! ^u^

P.S. I hope I get to touch the animals!! And isn't this layout cute? :3

Zoos make me so conflicted, lol. I love the animals and love to see them, but I hate that they're locked up in small spaces in unnatural environments. But for a bunch of them it's also protecting, endangered species and such, trying to keep their numbers up and whatnot and they're safe from shitty poachers and whatever. So torn!! haha.

You'd be surprised that our zoo doesn't use cages then. I'm going to write an entry about it. ^_^

Even if they're technically not "caged" they're still locked up in small spaces in unnatural environment. Otherwise they'd be free and not contained within the zoo. There's a "primate zoo" a couple hours away from here that for almost all the animals doesn't use cages; they're confined with the use of "islands" that then have some sort of fencing on the human side so people can't try doing stupid things. And some of them are free-roaming within certain areas, where they can walk around with people. These things are better than cages, but they still don't compare to being free and having entire forest regions or whatever as their territory.

But our zoo tries its best to imitate the animals' environment. Where the pandas are, they even made the temperature there cool 'cause my mom said that the weather in China is often cold.

I just realised how apt the layout is for the entry.
