A Story Idea "Thunder crashed. Her eyes flew open. Georgia was still trying to get used to the old house. She never knew why her parents chose this house to spend the summer in. She supposed that it was because of the money problems they had been having lately. They couldn't really afford much better. But they wanted the best for her and didn't want her to be cooped up in their house all summer. At least, that's what they told her. For all she knew, they could just be trying to separate her away from John, the boy who lived next door. She was only 11 and she knew that they didn't really like idea of her being friends with a boy. Even if they were just friends. She sighed. She tried to go back to sleep. She couldn't. She got up. She looked out of the window. It had been awfully hot during the daytime and so the storm was not a big surprise. She walked towards the kitchen. The floorboards creaked with every step. She knew she was in no danger of waking up her parents because they took the master bedroom at the second floor. She wondered why they even called it a master bedroom, it was so crooked, small, and dirty in every way. She opened the fridge. A small light in it flickered on and lit up the room. Georgia blinked. She'd gotten used to the darkness. She reached inside for a bottle of milk It was dusty and damp inside. She took out the bottle of milk, took a chipped cup from the glasses rack and poured a glass of milk for herself. Milk was supposed to make you sleepy, she'd been told by her Science teacher. She drank the milk. It tasted musty, unlike the bottles of milk that her parents often bought from the grocery store back home. She shuddered at the taste, and put the cup down. She put the bottle and the cup back into the fridge. She would finish it for breakfast. As she went out of the kitchen, shutting the rotting, wooden door softly behind her, she caught sight of a soft glow down the hallway. She frowned. The store room was supposed to be at the end of the hallway. None of them had went in there ever since they'd arrived. She crept down the hallway and jumped when lightning flashed, lighting up the hallway. For a moment, she thought she saw a witch at the right of her but when she reached out to touch her, she turned out to be a broom. She scowled and continued towards the store room. It was dark, that it was pitch black. She couldn't see anything and bumped right into the door. She closed her hand around the door knob. She hesitated, but she took a deep breath and opened it..."
This was just a story idea I got earlier. I wanted to write it down here. I'm not sure if it'll actually become a story. That was as far as I got. But, y'know, I'm still deciding what's in the store room. ^^" But that's all I have to say for now. Bye!
Have a great day. ^u^
