An Entry Full Of Books

FRIDAY
15th February 2013, 9.43 PM.

I have no idea why I chose this layout.

Can't wait for APEX tomorrow! It's a pity that Honeybee's in the Red group, though. Anyways, Honeybee asked me to bring a 100+-paged book tomorrow 'cause she wants to borrow. I don't mind lending my books but you must FLIPPING NOT SCRIBBLE, DRAW, BEND OR PASTE STICKERS IN MY BOOK. Some boys in my class are actually bloody cruel to do that when we had this thing like a book donation, when some of us 'donated' books to the class book shelf for a month or more. And I never. EVER. Donate a book. It's not that I'm selfish but really, would you risk your precious books to get torn up or drawn/scribbled all over or have stickers pasted on them by cruel classmates? I'm sure you wouldn't. Anyways, my eyes fell onto two books, The Probability of Miracles by Wendy Wunder and Diary of a Parent Trainer by Jenny Smith. Both of them are over two hundred pages, but flippin' heck, who cares about pages when there's a perfectly delicious story waiting for you to devour it? I'm bringing of the books to school tomorrow and see which book Honeybee'll choose. If she chooses Diary of a Parent Trainer or both, she'd better finish Diary of a Parent Trainer quickly 'cause I'm two books away from reading it.

By the way, I've finished My Dad Is Ten Years Old already and just finished Hothouse Flower by Margot Berwin just now. So now I'm reading The Wallflowers: It Happened One Autumn by Lisa Kleypas, which is a sequel in the series (for now).

Well, I'm off to bed now. G'night, everyone!

Hope you had a great day, everyone. ^_^

P.S. I meant to post this last night but ended up doing it the next morning...which is now!

I never ever lend books out without telling whoever is borrowing one that I want it back in perfect condition. My boyfriend always breaks the spines of his books, sometimes he turns corners of pages over to mark where he is.... it's horrible. He's forbidden from reading my books

LOL. I also dog-ear my books but now I use a card of a second-hand shop as a bookmark. ^_^

I forbade my mom from reading mine for the same reason. She completely destroys the spines and bends them all up, so she's no longer allowed to touch them!! lol.

Why don't you bring her books you've already read? Why bring something you want to read shortly yourself? That doesn't make much sense. And like Amy says, I wouldn't hand my books to anyone without demanding it be returned in the EXACT condition it is in, and having seen proof previously of how they treat their books.

LOL, I've read Diary of a Parent Trainer before, it's just that I reread my entire Novel Collection when I complete reading it.

Oh... well maybe you could go to the library more often, so you can read other things?

I don't know, my mindset is like, OK, library books are just books that keep me entertained, like, 'extra' books or something like that. As for my Book Collection, I consider it my main source of reading. ^^"

Well I can't say that I understand that, I mean the more you read the more you know. Even fiction books serve to enhance your vocabulary and shed light on new different things. If you only keep reading the same handful, you never experience anything new and you miss out on a lot. But it's your choice.

I agree with you. It's just that I prefer buying to borrowing 'cause I would be owning the books forever if I buy but if it was a library book, I'd have to return it. That's why I buy too many books when my beloved Scholastic brochure arrives.

Oh there's certainly nothing wrong with buying, I mean I have close to 700 books on my shelves and probably around a similar number still back in my mom's house, and "new" ones (though many come 2nd-hand as it enables me to buy that many more) always coming in. But since you're not able to buy everything the library allows to still read a lot of what is otherwise out of your reach. Unless I someday became a multi-millionaire, I could never hope to own all the books the library allows me to supplement my own collection with.
