Champs, Karate, Comics, And Books!

12/31/2012

MONDAY
31st December 2012, 4.28 PM.

Champs, Karate, Comics, And Books! Well, people.

So I'll try to remember my day as best as I can. :3 I woke up in the morning and found my brother in the toilet. I don't know, I just stood there standing instead of sitting in the chair in front of the sink to try snatch a few more minutes of sleep. For some reason, I looked at my watch. IT WAS 6.26 AM!!!! I went to my parents' bedroom. My mom, who was still in bed (my father was in the bedroom's toilet), told me to go and wait for my brother to come out as usual. I reminded her that today was the day that I had to go to the Champs! Workshop. She then told me to go and tell my brother to hurry up. Instead of doing so, I went to my bedroom, grabbing my handphone on the way. I had a message from T.G. This is what she said: "Assalamualaikum dreamer,i just came back from Malaysia at 1:33am im not sure if I could go to school tomorrow" Well, of course she used my real name, not "Dreamer", but anyway! I was pretty much shocked 'cause yesterday, Hani B had already said that she probably wouldn't be going 'cause she didn't want to spend her last few days of the school holidays in school. I immediately called her handphone. When she answered, her voice sounded croaky, and that was the first clue that said she wasn't going (since she should be ready by now). We talked (for a short while) and in the end, she wasn't going. I wasn't angry with her but I was so disappointed that I had to go alone. My mom could neither send nor fetch me from school because I knew she was busy.

By the time I left the house, it was 7.31 AM!!! I was supposed to reach school at 7.30 AM, not leave for school at the said time! So I just listen to my MP3 the whole time I was in the train. By the time I reached school, it was 8.02 AM. When I entered, there was nobody around. But I had a suspicion that everyone was in the MPR1 (Multi-Purpose Room 1). I peeked in. I was right! There were my classmates and friends from other classes. I entered the MPR1. So our principal...let's call him Mr Smiler. He started by giving one of his speeches. It was about stuff like how we needed to "change ourselves" and "feel good" in order to score. Well, I'm happy about how my current self is and I feel good, so those are nothing to worry about! And then he showed us a couple of video clips. After that, we had to make two paper aeroplanes, one the best one in the world, and the other a glider. Then, we had a break, I think. I looked at Stall 4 but they didn't have any Oreo cookies today. So I just drank hot Milo (if there had been Oreo cookies, I'd have dipped them into the Milo *licks lips*). After that, we were given 'gliders' that looked exactly like kites. And they were kites. I should know since I had one of the same kind back home!

So when the workshop was finished, ALL the girls were riding the public bus back home, all except me (I take the MRT) and another girl. Well, that other girl is a friend of mine but she's in the other class. Let's call her Maid. And no, she is not my slave and she is not my maid either. So, she apparently was going back on the MRT, and, since you very well know that I hate going alone, I decided to go with her. But she'd left some of her books in her former class (this year's class) and she wanted to get them. So we took the lift (we'd already taken Mr Smiler's permission) and we tried to get into her classroom but it was locked! We went down again and went to the office but the office told us to find either the 'makcik' or the 'pakcik'. I guess you could say they're cleaners. While finding the 'pakcik' though, Maid spotted her mom at the canteen. Apparently, her mom was going to send her home. So we went to the canteen and while we were talking to Maid's mom, Maid spotted the 'pakcik' at the corridor, and so we hurried towards him. After telling him the reason of why we wanted to go into the classroom, he handed us a bunch of keys (connected by key-rings) and told us to return it to him as soon as we were done. We thanked him and ran off. I wanted to take the lift but Maid just ran up the (back) stairs. So I followed her. After getting her books, Maid needed to go to the toilet. I waited for her in the classroom, but while waiting, I got an idea. I took her books, walked outside and balanced them on the window sill (there was a ledge too, so they were quite safe, don't worry). After doing so, I grabbed the keys which I'd left on top of the cupboard, walked outside, shut the door, and locked it. Then, I waited for Maid to come back. When she finally did, we went down and handed the keys back to the 'pakcik' and thanked him once more. Then, we headed back to Maid's mother. When we talked again, Maid's mom (let's just call her Mdm Bandanna) offered to take me home. I called my mom to ask her about it and she agreed. She reminded me to thank her before I left, though. I assured her I would, then cut the call. I told Mdm Bandanna that-

Sorry for the interruption. My mom called me to read the Qur'an and after that I fell asleep (the rain made me sleepy). When I woke up, I had to eat dinner, and then there was an Internet connection problem. So now I'm using my mom's phone's personal hotspot. So let me continue now. I told Mdm Bandanna that my mom had agreed and so we went off. On the way to the car, I found out that she was not actually going to send me to my nearby neighbourhood shopping mall (I had to meet with my mom to go to the library). She was going to send me to the MRT station that was nearest to where they lived. So I had to call my mother again and tell her that. And she was OK with it. In the car, I found out from Maid that actually there were Oreo cookies at Stall 4 just now! Man, wish I'd known. Anyway, they dropped me off at the MRT station, I thanked them and we bid farewell. Then I got out of the car and put on my glasses, though, they were all fogged up. When I joined my mom at McDonald's later on, I found my whole family there! My mom hadn't cooked anything so she'd told them to come out. :3 I had arrived in the nick of time as my burger (McChicken, plain, please!) was still warm from the oven. Mmm...it was delicious. Then, my father gave me money to buy the Oreo McFlurry ice-cream. Slurp! When we had all finished, my father and brother headed home, while my mother and I walked off to the library. I returned all my six books and then GUESS WHAT?!? I asked the Customer Service about comics and apparently, they did have comics there! YIPPEE-KA-YAY!!! My mom waited for me at the first floor, as I went upstairs to browse through the books. Sigh. None of the comics were...interesting. Most of them were superhero comics anyway, and the rest were all not me. So I went to the 4th floor instead and started browsing through actual books. I ended up borrowing only 2 books. I wish there were comics that were just like the comics Kytri made! Oh, and yay! Kytri updated her T.W.I.Y.E.H comic today! That's the one that had the magical and mystical theme, with Liam, Gabry, Jordi, Jeremy, Nicole, blah blah blah, and Nai'kas. "T.W.I.Y.E.H" stands for "This is the Worst Idea You've Ever Had!". She's done two chapters already! She's workin' on the third. :3 Here ish link if you want --->http://worstidea.skyscrapersoup.com/archive/ The other one, Sin Pararse, which is basically about how Gabry and Liam met hasn't been updated yet, though. Love it! Link --->http://sinpararse.skyscrapersoup.com/archive/

So...I AM FINALLY DONE WRITING ABOUT MY DAY!!! GOSH, THAT SURE WAS LONG, YO!! OK, now I'm pretty sure that I have caught the Yo Fever from frog... ^^" Anyway! I was thinkin' just now about the karate thing. My mom just said that she doesn't actually know any karate schools, the one she said that was somewhere in our district was actually taekwando (lol, is that the correct way to spell it??). I asked her what the difference between taekwando and karate was and she said that taekwando was in Chinese style but karate was more into Japanese. Is that really the only differences? What if there are others? Another thing, I'm starting to have small doubts about this whole fighting thing. I mean, I do want to try out new stuff and experience new things, but still...

And...last night, I've finished reading The Witches and afterwards I read The Magic Finger, The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me, Esio Trot, and James and the Giant Peach. Am now reading BOY: Tales of Childhood. ^^

Have a super-fantastic day, everyone! ^u^

P.S. Let's just call the nearby neighbourhood shopping centre "The Point", OK? Makes it easier.
