Evil E-Mail-Spamming Websites

22nd December 2012, 2.06 PM.

Hey everyone.

I really did not expect myself to come back here again. ^^" So, I was just checking my Yahoo mail to verify my BookCrossing account. Well, guess what? BloopDiary is just like Facebook. Now I'm gonna have TWO websites spamming in my e-mail about new comments and friend requests. *Facepalm* Don't mind, though. It's just that I'll have to deleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeete e-mails for quite a time. I keep e-mails from other websites that are like, weekly or monthly, though. Just as long as they don't spam.

Still a bit lost at BookCrossing, though. I'll have to try to figure it out. Also, I'm not sure if I'm willing to part with any of my books in my Novel Collection. Am I being selfish like that?
This is my Journal, where I will pour out my views, opinions, and thoughts. If you don't agree with any of those, well, I cannot tell you what to do but I ask you to please be polite when commenting. Thank you and have a nice day. :3

Well, the point of BookCrossing is to 'set free' your books after you've read them, for other people to read. But that doesn't necessarily mean all your books. When I was an active BookCrosser I got very cheap books from charity shops and 'released' these when I'd read them.

There's a setting to turn off email alerts if you don't want them. It's not spamming, it's giving you alerts so you don't miss things that you don't want to miss. But you don't have to have them on if you don't want to.

Personally I don't do any of the sites like bookcrossing because I keep my books. I love books, I certainly don't just toss them. And if I didn't want them, I'd be taking them to the 2nd-hand store so I'd have credit for buying more, rather than just throwing out the money I spent on them.

Well, that's a nice idea. And also, I don't want to turn off the alerts. I wanted to say that in the entry but I didn't know how to say it. Thanks again for reminding me of the word. ^u^

I won't bother to write it in the entry, though.
