Frustration And My Opinions
Hey everyone.

I'm using my mom's phone to type this entry. Actually, earlier, I'd almost finished writing this entry but I had to go and pray Ishak and right after that, I watched TV, and when I got back, I had to log in again. When I did so, I went to "Write" and chose the "Untitled" session. Unfortunately, they didn't autosave my content. D :< Well, there was an autosave but when I chose to restore it. There was only one word, "MONDAY". -.- So I'm not gonna bother trying to rewrite it.

I'm watching the NewsAsia on Channel 5. Sheesh, why are people complaining about the old people care center in their backyard???? Hello! They are gonna be old people too! -_- And then people are now blaming foreigners for the lack of jobs and blah blah. What do foreigners have to do with that?? We're all under the same skin. -__-

Well, the only thing left I gotta say is that I've finished reading The Raspberry Rules! Now I'm reading The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar And Six More by Roald Dahl. :3

Have a great day, everyone! ^u^

Gosh, I do love Roald Dahl - I read most of his books when I was a kid. We had to read The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More in primary school, when I was 9, and do various pieces of creative writing based on it. For that reason, I didn't like it so much - plus, I was a sensitive soul, and found the one about the railway track quite disturbing! Have you read Tales of the Unexpected? I read that one as a teenager and loved it! The stories have clever twists at the end.

Ooooh! I've never heard of Tales of the Unexpected before! Is it by Roald Dahl? i thought I had all of the books written by him. ^^"

Oh, and the part about the railway track, were you talking about "The Swan"? It was a good story but I think those bullies are downright cruel and crazy. >.> I hope they get arrested some day.

Yes, it's a collection of short stories by Roald Dahl.

And yes, 'The Swan' - the bit where they tie him to the railway track is horrible!

Well, I've asked my father about Tales of the Unexpected and apparently, he doesn't know anything about it. -3- Also, I've never even seen the book in Singapore before. Is it possible that some books that Roald Dahl has written didn't manage to get imported to Singapore or something?

Ah I'm a big fan of his also, I read most of his books when I was younger. =) I suppose that's possible. Are there any large stores there that have websites where you could do a search to see if they have it? I don't mean to buy it off then, but just to see if anyone has it for sale and you just hadn't noticed it or whatever.

The only popular book store I know is Popular (lol). I don't know any other book stores a lot. Maybe Harris, or something, I have no idea. ಠ_ಠ I could try Googling, I guess? I don't know. :x

Well, the stories in the collection were all originally published elsewhere, so you could have read them. Here's the Wikipedia article about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_of_the_Unexpected_(book). The story titles are all listed there, and you can click on most of them to get the plots, so you can see if you recognise them or not.
