Mukhayyam: The Party
SUNDAY
1st September 2013, 8.15 PM.
OH MY GOD, IT'S SEPTEMBER!!!
The time for PSLE draws near...
So! We went camping at school yesterday! Actually, it's the day before yesterday since I came back yesterday, but whatever! Anyway, in this school, camping is referred to with "Mukhayyam". I don't know, I guess "camping" is "mukhayyam" in Arabic, but I never really bothered to check. I'm just being me that way. Also, I think that I'd better write this in parts 'cause if I take too long in writing this, I may start to lose interest (actually, the party wasn't even part of the Mukhayyam, but whatever).
Honeybee and I brought our cameras and they were fairly similar, with a few significant different designs and functions. Honeybee is starting to take interest in photography nowadays. She isn't interested in the number of photographs she takes, not so much as the quality. She often thinks about the lighting, angle, and everything that's needed for the 'perfect photograph'. As for me, I can go crazy with a camera. I like to take pictures of
everything. My relatives used to call me "The Photographer" when I was little but I don't do so that much because:
1) My phone sucks like crap, which is why I don't use it
much anymore.
2) I'm usually either busy either reading or using my mom's iPhone. (And no, most of the time I'm reading or writing on it, not playing games...geez...)
RANDOM FUN FACT: The term "photography" always reminds me of the term "pornography".
I know, that's just so dirty-minded of me.
Anyways, after dismissal, we all rushed up to the canteen, where all of us P6B girls had agreed to meet as we were throwing a small birthday party for M&M, Far-Away Honey, T.G, and Oozy (but mainly for Oozy since her birthday was on that very day). To our frustration, some were missing (as expected) and we had to go and find them. We managed to round them up in time and at the last minute, Honeybee remembered that she had left her camera downstairs, at the school hall. She was debating whether to stay so as not to miss the opening of the little party but I just gave her a friendly shove and told her to just go and take it and accompanied her as she did so. When we returned to the canteen, the girls were already singing the birthday song but I didn't care. Honeybee apologised but I just scoffed, pointed to my face, and said, "Do I look angry to you?"
What Queen Bossy did was hilarious! When she cut the first slice of cake, the next thing she did was to throw it in Oozy's face! I, being the 'blur' one as usual, was all like, "Huh? Why's Oozy running off to the sink and holding her face like what?" Honeybee then proceeded to explain the whole thing to me and I understood and laughed along with the others. Later on, Oozy got her revenge by throwing a piece of cake in Queen Bossy's face.
The party was a success. I loved the
food especially. Do you know what Shuffles brought?
HOME-MADE CHOCOLATE BROWNIES! WITH NO NUTS!!! I was so happy that she remembered how I hated nuts (yeah, actually, I really hate nuts.
NEVER give me nuts!)! I actually ate three pieces of the brownie.
As for the cake, it was Blackforest, and it had no nuts too. I had a slice of that and discovered that there was apparently raspberry jam, if I'm not mistaken, inside of it. There weren't enough paper plates so guess what Eye and Bossy Queen did? They tore each of them in half! And even though they joked about it being "low-quality plates", I thought it was pretty awesome! Marge also brought four boxes of
heavenly pizza! Two of them were pepperonis with cheese, the other two were the same, except that they had
mushrooms.
Eek! I don't eat mushrooms.
So I ate two slices (each person was restricted to eating two slices) of the pizzas that did
not have mushrooms on them. I must say, they were totally delicious! After which, I drank F&N Grape. I want more... The (former) Frenemy brought American sausages, which I gobbled up only one of them 'cause I actually had my eye on Shuffles' brownies. I ate one, ate another one, and then begged her to allow me to take a third. She relented and another brownie slid down into my stomach. I loved the party!
After that, Mukhayyam officially began!
Have a fantastically awesome day, everyone!
